Pink Floyd Exhibition - V & A Museum

Any one going to this, which opens on 13th May?

Also a Q&A session on 12th with Nick Mason (but sold out) would loved to have gone to this.

I have to wait until August as wife buying tickets for us for anniversary, unless I go alone sooner that is.

I'm not the biggest fan and although I heard about it wasn't planning to go. Decided to check it out based on your post and it looks pretty amazing! So I think I'm gonna go. Was a big fan of the Bowie exhibition.

I went to this yesterday afternoon. Was really good overall - quite a thrill to see all the Floyd artefacts in the flesh.

I do wonder who it's aimed at. It doesn't really go deep enough to satisfy fanatics and if you were new to the band I'd imagine you'd wonder what all the fuss was about.

Any criticisms I have seem churlish in retrospect though. I managed to spend over two hours in the exhibition and the presentation was excellent, especially the audio system. I feel really lucky to have one of my favourite bands celebrated in such a fashion.

Best to pick times when you think that the least number of people will be there as the wireless audio system depends on proximity and some folks won't move on.
Overall it was pretty good but choosing a song from the latter post Waters albums to fill the last room with video projections of was a bad idea, the video of live performances of the wall which were relegated to a small TV would have been a better choice or at least something from their heyday.

Went this morning, loved it! So much to take in, got lucky in the last projection room, sat in the middle to Comfortably Numb

Wasn't too crowded getting there for 10 am, the audio system as you move around is very good, whole thing was just very well put together.

Went last week, my daughter and I spent five hours in there - what an experience!

The final room with the surround sound and video was Arnold Layne and Comfortably Numb.

I often wonder this at exhibitions, I went to the Star Trek one in Blackpool. It seemed to be aimed at someone who'd never heard of Star Trek and provided nothing for even a casual fan like myself. Really not sure what the guy in front of me in his uniform got out of it (turns out he wasn't staff).
