can someone break down these more?

Is book 1 the hardback compendium 1?

Looking at getting the first hardback in the collection, just not sure I'm reading the above correctly...

Okay - the paperbacks are about 6 issues per volume (and book 12 is due soon)
The normal hardbacks have 2 paperbacks in them
The compendium has the first 8 paperbacks

Then there are a couple of deluxe fifty quid hardbacks which I think include 20-odd issues

TPBs have 6 issues, hardbacks (named Book One, Book Two etc) have 12 issues, the deluxe hardcovers (named Volume 1 Deluxe HC etc) have 24 issues and the Compendium has 48 issues.

Just started this and so far its excellent - I can see how it could make an excellent tv show if handled right.

I've just recently started this too and I'm really enjoying it.
The sole issue I have is that I think the artist in the first book was much better than the one that took over later. Does this artist come back at any point?

Any news on a potential release date for Compendium 2?

Somebody has put together a google map of the Walking Dead... Don't look if you're not up to date, as it may have spoilers...
