This was utter tripe, poor acting across the board and basically completely ruins the end of the previous film.
The special effects were pretty terrible and unfortunately the makers have decided to go down the route of men bad, women good and have them basically incapable of doing anything themselves.
Never noticed that Bill and Ted, when on screen are in that order.
I'm in the camp of liking the second one more as that was the one I saw first at the cinema. They do feel very different, not just more money on the second one but also more effort.

Agree with that, why not catch up with them after having saved the world, now they are in a rut; its their kids doing something that undoes what they did so they have to fix it one last time.

Midnights Edge who are all about being against the Woke said it was far from being so.
Maybe it's just me, I wanted it to be good but as soon as the trailer made it clear how it was going to end I knew it would be rubbish. We did laugh a few times but it was mostly rubbish and you wonder why Keanu agreed to do it as the script is terrible, with a lot of it just basically a rehash of the 1st film.

I'm an ageing fan of Bill & Ted (saw both flicks in the cinema, the second at a preview complete with a live 'Battle of the Bands' at the Hammersmith Odeon), but after watching the trailers I went into this with very low expectations & that's probably the best way to see it.
Winter, & Sadler felt like they were putting in some effort, but Reeves I've seen be more Ted-like in interviews for John Wick & the daughters were just awful & so thinly sketched to call them two-dimensional is probably a compliment. The script was a mess & the overall feeling was everything was just a bit 'off'.
That said, I kinda enjoyed it for what it was. It was nice to see the characters again, it made me laugh out loud a couple of times, & generally kept a smile on my face for most of it.
As for the 'Song to Unite All of Reality'? It ain't no God Gave Rock & Roll To You...
I thought it was telling how bad things are now that
the only things the daughters had were those electronic things, no actual real instruments.
God I feel old and I'm not even 40 yet! I remember watching the 1st film on VHS at a birthday party and the sequel at the cinema all those years ago. I still love them, there aren't many faults and they're mostly harmless.

This new film just felt so forced.
Dude give yourself a rub on the shoulder, you are not old, this film was made by as many of the same people as possible. Problem is the director he is not a new one. Looking at the previous movies Excellent Adventure was the director's second feature. Bogus Journey was Peter Hewits first feature. Perhaps their enthusiasm for the projects is shown more on screen than the director of the third.
Another thing they could have done was go back in time and interact with their younger selves and ditch the kids stuff all together.
Sadly it's another of these "we wanted to get the right script, even if it takes years" films where you wonder how bad the other potential scripts were!
In all fairness, this film was low budget. It was apparently made on the equivalent budget for a high profile pilot TV episode. A lot of the effects were done cheaper as a favour by fans who work in the VFX industry.
I'm really hoping this isn't as bad as some of you are saying! Expectations are not high, but am strapping myself in for a rough ride....
Having seen it and being a fan of the originals, Sorry Ascender I hope you enjoy it but its many years too late. Alex Winter and William Sadler and the girl playing Ted's daughter are great but the rest nah.
Samara Weaving (who seems to be everywhere, like Alicia Vikander a few years ago regardless of talent or charisma) just as about wooden as you can get without replacing her with a nice pine chest of drawers. Keanu must have come back as a bet, there is no life to the guy here. Granted I know they are older now, reason 1 why this should have been made years ago and aged them up a bit.
Like the RLM review points out; the stuff is written as Bill and Ted would say it but KR delivery is so wooden no life or spark to it.
Plus the whole think took more than 20 years to get to the screen and all they could come up with was repeat excellent adventure plot and take scenes from Bogus Journey.

Whoever's in charge of movies at Channel 5 clearly thought they should make Bogus Journey fit into the franchise a bit better by changing the ending on their screening the other day.
In their rush to get to more adverts, they cut the newspaper end credits just after 'Wyld Stalyns to play Wembley Stadium' & skipped straight to the cast list over black.
