Williams needing investment ASAP... “up for sale” say the headlines
To be fair, they’ve been struggling for a while, and really had to concede that modern F1 doesn’t value the small privately owned team, and prefers the big manufacturers with big sponsors, and corporate level investment in the whole circus.

They haven't been competitive for at least, what, 2 decades? Doesn't surprise me.
Shame though, when I was growing up it was always between Williams, McLaren and Ferrari.

Great book
Ross Brawn’s book with Adam Parr is good too, albeit written in a really grating style.

Just the "real" British Grand Prix which CH4 would have been broadcasting anyway.

I hope they make this work and we get enough to count as a full season. With so many drivers out of practice and this being the first running on the 2020 cars it will be chaos. Are they reducing the number of components to be used or can they use the same number as a full season? If the latter then I would expect/hope a lot of teams crank it up a bit too.

Looking forward to the season starting next month. I see that Mercedes have been on the track the last few days. I was thinking about Hamilton and him not doing any virtual racing, has he said why he does not do it? I've always thought that a top F1 driver uses the feedback from the car to push it to it's maximum, a simulator can't replicate that accurately.
I see LeMans 24 is going virtual this weekend and many F1 drivers are racing, including Alonso

I think he probably does but probably under some sort of pseudonym. If you were the current world champion the last thing you'd want to do is "play" online and risk not winning.

Hamilton's the "brand ambassador" for Gran Turismo, so he might have some contractual reason to not be seen online with another racing sim.

Trying not to find a cynical reason for this but is there a “Now will please resign with us” ploy?

Admirable support for their driver and doing the right thing would be an alternative take
