I grew up listening to Murray commentating, his enthusiasm and passion of F1 got me inspired to watch it from when I was like 11 years old. I loved the 'murrayisms' and the curse of Murray for the last lap leader. Great times and he had a fantastic innings

Well that’s going to be a terrible circuit, where are the straights? How is anyone going to get passed on theirs?

As soon as I saw it I immediately thought that looks like a track where everyone just follows each other until the one overtaking opportunity at the 1st corner.

Has anyone got experience of watching F1 via a Formula1 Pro account and VPN in the UK? To add F1 to my virgin media package is going to cost just under £40 a month as you have to add all the other sports channels.

I did hear Amazon might start streaming races but no news on that yet.

If Amazon are going to show F1 it’s not in the U.K. as Sky have long term deal up to 2025 IIRC. Similar for TV in rest of Europe.

If they are looking may be US rights as Americans aren’t really interested in F1 they look to NASCAR and Indy for their motor racing. So would me much cheaper there.

Here Now (they’ve dropped the TV) may offer a season deal at time of first race weekend as they have done in some previous years but even then it’s around £200 and you would need to pay £3pm extra for the Boost subscription if you want HD.

They current Sky deal stops F1 selling their streaming service in U.K. so that will only appear here once it ends. As noted until then it’s via VPN.

Well my Sky Q box didn't pick up my series links from last season and Sky certainly don't make it easy to find the UHD broadcasts. You would swear they don't want you to find them.

And now ad breaks between sessions, you’d think £18 a month would cover everything wouldn’t you?*

* okay I’m not paying it but a lot of people are

Yeah that's encouraging! Let's hope it stays tight at the front all year...

Very disappointed with Sky on the ads. It's a premium subscription channel after all, frankly it's bad enough they interrupt free practice for them.

That was tense! Hopefully the year carries on as close as that. I just wish they'd be more consistent on track limits, either allow it or not rather than start enforcing it half way through when it's pointed out on the radio and having to make judgement calls etc

Yes it was very tense, interesting to see it from the Mercedes behind for a change, Allowing them to try the undercut rather than have to fight it.

He wasn’t much better in F2, he got two penalties in the last race for running people off the road

Good race. I wonder whether, if Red Bull are generally ahead, it'll give Mercedes the chance to pull off some good strategy calls to deny them. When Mercedes were generally ahead, we only really noticed when they made mistakes.

I also don't want to look like I'm kicking Vettel too much, but what on earth was that - blaming the other driver for supposedly moving across the track? Imagine what we'd be saying if that was Mazepin. From what I've read, Vettel seems a great guy off-track, however I kinda fear for him this year on-track.
