Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Out today, of course.

I watched the Snyder JL yesterday, and, it was good.

But, oh my, the first 10 minutes of this are so REAL. Real stunts, lighting, it's such a big difference in two treatments. It's that I like about Marvel, the reality of it.

I enjoyed it so far. Lots of set up though.

I enjoyed it as well, it felt like a mini-Captain America movie (without Cap)

Liked it too. Felt very grounded with likeable characters affected by the events of the MCU movies.

So 4 minute long credit sequences are going to be the hallmark of Disney's shows then?

The most annoying thing is that with the long credits it doesn’t recognise that I have watched the show and go onto the next, still brings the past one up ad the default.

I thought it a bit meh but other half enjoyed (the opposite to Wandavision)

Watching falcon struggle to pay the bills isn’t particularly enjoyable. And surely other avengers helped out the families of their snapper colleagues. Or apparently just didn’t bother.

How long after the snap ended is this? Why isn’t the world all odd /overgrown like it was when ant man returned (or was that earlier).

And also, as Wandavision showed, they might throw in a post-credit scene every now and then, so skipping to the next episode might mean missing those.

Very much what you’d expect so far but watchable. The opening sequence just shows the level of budget they have though, most films aren’t to this standard.

It's supposed to be about six months after Endgame.

Yes, IIRC it was the "three rules" bit (the restrictions made it a bit like My Name is Earl, but with more explosions).

There was close-up of the notebook after the scene Adam was talking about.

I thought that was excellent. Great action scenes at the start and a really emotional story for Bucky - Sebastian Stan is really good here.

I don't understand where Sam sits in the world - is he still part of the military? Is he free-lancing on missions? It doesn't make sense that he would be repairing his own tech, it doesn't make sense that he's such a key resource, yet they are leaving him out in the wind to waste his time fixing boat engines and trying to secure bank loans. Admittedly, there's not much drama in it, but surely a quick call to Pepper "can I have or borrow $100k please?". Pepper - "Sure, I'll just get my purse".

Yeah I agree with the above. We watched it as a family and it was instantly entertaining and interesting unlike Wandavision! We also found it odd about the lack of money though? Maybe they just want the drama style to it which we wouldn’t get in the movies. I thought of “My name is Earl” too! So, I was quite surprised when that was the next featured show on Disney!

Looks like they're going to drag this one out too. Just like Wandavision.

Sadly it does. A very disappointing episode.

That was long and boring, but at least it did move the plot along enough. They clearly didn't have the budget the week as the truck scene CGI was bad, but also the fight choreography was non existent, there was no clear shot of anything.

Bucky also appears to be very ineffective, it seems that the super soldier serum just brings all recipients up to a level playibg field. Ok, but he's been an assassin for best part of century, he should have more of an advantage in technique and experience than fledgling, young, non military super soldiers.

They are being very inconsistent with the super soldier strengths.

Didn’t seem long to me, just seemed to end suddenly! Not sure who guy in end was!

Seeing Falcon with the police was sad but effective.
