Poor display in the first half. Livened up in the 2nd, but too little too late.
The only highlight being a bona-fide world class free kick from Milner to steal a point.
Yaya and Kolarov have scored a few special free kicks over the last few seasons, but I think that that was the best I've seen by a City player for years.

Has every one else given up posting in here? I miss the days when DY would visit.
3 important points and a good 2nd half display. Some ropey defending yet again for the Stoke goal, but our goals were excellent. The interplay between Silva & Nasri to set up Milner's goal was beautiful.

Enjoy reading the commentary, Rob
Due to work pressures not seen a game for a while, hence not commenting...

Fair enough. You've not missed much though, so you've both picked a good time to be busy.

Thought the first half we were playing well within ourselves (Crap). Then in the second half City blew them away. Can't believe the whole handball episode!?!? What was that all about???

You'd like to think that it was an accident where Aguero was trying to keep his balance in some way, but it was a bit weird - he certainly didn't need to nudge it in with his hand.
Handballing into the net, a soft dive for a pen, I'm half expecting him to bite somebody next

Lots of the pundits seem to thing we will beat Barca next week, All I can say to that is Have they seen us play recently? if we play like we have been Barca will hammer us. If we bring our A game we stand a chance but we haven't hit our A game in a while, there have been glimpses of it but certainly nothing sustained.
On a Different note, Im looking forward to seeing How Bony and Aguero team up, I wonder if we'll see them play together this weekend.

Even that half felt like we could have gone up another gear if we really wanted to, but thats the glimpse I was meaning and a few 10/15 mins here and there.
Here's hoping we can keep the momentum of that 2nd half through to Saturday.

I think you mean 60 mins, then City took off Aguero & Silva! City looked bloody good the other night against a team that knocked us out of the league cup. Silva is just brilliant. Onwards and upwards blues

Haven't posted in a while.
I am more and more convinced with each game that Nasri is the key to us playing well - when he is playing we are just so much better. Silva does the flashy stuff, Nasri makes us tick (along with the odd bit of flashy stuff - his goal was just awesome).
Yaya was also incredible against Newcastle.
Already nervously excited about tomorrow. Really hope (and think) we can pull off a surprising result. No Yaya though, which is a blow.

Barcelona gambled with Messi & have more bite up front, Manchester Citys play is just nuts.
