Nope, Nothing to do with Related parties ( because they aren't ) It was a fine for spending more than we bought in. nothing more. and we would have been self sustainable last season if it wasn't down to that fine. There was a few million written off for selling of staff skills between companies under the CFG but that wouldn't have made a difference to the outcome.
Inter are having the same ( but smaller ) now for having to get a bank loan to pay people they owe.

Milner is a very underrated player. I'd have him in the Chelsea squad in an instant.

Yep, I'll be very disappointed if he leaves.

I too hope that Milner stays - one of only 5 players who have made significant contributions to the cause this season in my opinion.
However, if he goes, no hard feelings - there's some ill feeling that I've read on other forums because he's running his contract down and trying to squeeze the most money out of us/or some buying club. However, unlike certain other players (City and otherwise), he doesn't mouth off through his agent and his situation never seems to affect his performance.

I dont even see it as running down his contract. City Let it get into the last year of his contract. They could have sold him last summer. Im not sure what the sticking point is in the contract negotiations but I would assume its a game time guarantee.
People complaing about milner just seems like sour grapes.

Well, after they punish City and PSG they decide they will relax the rules! Shock.
But then it could be the fact they know the court case would beat them.

On Milner, have a sneaky feeling he may stay when all is said and done. If he leaves and someone gets him for no fee they are incredibly fortunate - a real team player, and as he's proved this season, quite the goal scorer.
On another note, how good was Silva yesterday? Hugely underrated player - some of the stuff he does in a game is quite magnificent. And he's even defending too these days...

Just watched the highlights - another magnificent performance from Joe Hart, who's been world class this season. A good keeper is probably worth 10-15 points a season, something that United might find out if De Gea leaves this summer.
I think that Silva has been excellent pretty much all season. He may not have as many assists as he usually does, but the way he uses the ball and pulls the defence all over the place is always creating space for others. Also, I've said on here before that I don't think I've seen a better double act in 1-2s than Silva and Milner.
On FFP, you've got to laugh. Chelsea and now City are getting their finances in order, so UEFA are throwing the towel in! As has been noted elsewhere, the owners of the Milan clubs are probably complaining that they are being left behind - at least we might get some decent money from them now!

We were always aiming at this anyways, All FFP did was force us to do 10 years of spending in 3 to try to get where we needed to be before it kicked in. we failed but only just.
and it didn't set out to do what it was planning which was level the playing field and prevent clubs going bust by over spending.
I would suggest this relaxing is more down to Inter Millan getting stung.

I found out recently that Chelsea's finances are far from in order, All Abramovitch has done is move the debt to a holding company, is still accruing interest but has no payments coming in. Chelsea are sitting on about Ł1bn of debt.

We have offered Milner 165k a week and 4.5 year extension with more game time. Not a lot else we can do.
Being 4.5 year deal I guess it's been on the table since Jan.

Hard to see how he'd get a better deal elsewhere. If he was offered the midfield lynchpin role at one of his former clubs, I could see him moving so he could be a bigger fish in a smaller pond, but like you say, there's not really much more we can offer him.

This coming from the Read Admiral of arrogance is high praise indeed.
Milner's playing a major role at a top 4 club and has 2 league winners medals in the last 4 seasons.
Deal with it.
