That and Resident Evil VII

Strangest feeling ever, not actually being able to compel my thumb to move me forward.

Ooh I love Rez, had it on Dreamcast and Xbox360. Can't wait to play it again and in VR!
Already have some of the other games, typical! But I'm really happy about Horizon Zero Dawn. I came really close to buying recently but I still have many other games to get through. It's there a PS5 patch for it?

It's the full version of Horizon as well so it included the Frozen Wilds add on, which makes the game about 1/3 bigger than the original. I thought it was a great game and can't wait for the sequel when it arrives.

I was not expecting Subnautica to be this good. Stuck 13 hours into so far and the main plot is starting to expand and explain itself! Loving it!

Probably mentioned before but Ratchet & Clank (2106) is still free for PS4 & PS5 owners even those without a PSN subscription. This expires 31st of March.

Plus the game is getting a PS5 60fps patch next month.

Subnautica is a great game. I completed it on PC and I too am maybe a third into the game so far.
Shame they didn't squash some of the bugs - I have a beached seamoth which I couldn't recover and has since vanished (but the icon is there). Also still a little laggy when opening cupboards.

About five hours in or so my little base was flooded and I thought you needed a reinforced panel to seal the leaks but didn't have the metal which I hadn't seen in game so far.

I went to bed and googled and discovered I simply needed to use the repair tool (I didn't realise it's use was so broad).

I loaded my save game the next day and as I approached my base, I could see the water level dropping. The leaks had disappeared!

That's the only bug I've had although the game did freeze on me last night and I lost an hours play, luckily I hadn't done anything major.

Strength of the base needs to be kept above zero to avoid floods, each time you add a base piece you'll get a brief note in the top corner saying the current integrity. Glass is bad essentially, so you'll need lithium for strengthening areas or just replace those big windows for the moment until you get into the Mushroom forest area later.

MLB The Show 21 is free day one on Gamepass which is a bit mental if you think about it.

Oh i can put my subnatutica rant here.

Its just so grindy. I need to go down to 250meters now so need to upgrade my sea moth which involves finding Moonroom pieces and I can't find them. Have watched loads of you tube videos and I try and visit the same places (hard as they say ITS AT THIS CO-ORDINATE and I don't have that on my PS4 version) and even when I know I am in the write place (some crash site near a huge crator whole, near lifeboat 19?) I just can't see the bits anywhere.

So am stuck on that. Same with propulsion thing that I need to go around auroror.

So 2-3 hours spent yesterday trying to find these bits with no joy

Then at the end my seamoth beached on rocks and from checking, no way to move it so I have to build a new one and collect those bits again.

Also screwed up by combining titanium bits into ingots thinking that would save space. Which is does but also means you cant use them for anything that needs the smaller bits. GAHHHHH.

Have done back to Phoenix wright.

You after the Gel sacks? Yes, they are tricky to find. There a couple at the base of a large tree like structure which you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RLpT2ohdrI
One tip. Don't hand pick them, use your knife and get 4 seeds per pack. Take them back to base and plant up in a external growbed. Then repeat on the newly grown gels. You won't need to go hunting that way ever again.
Do the same for the deep-shrooms and blood-gel plants which pop up later.

I think I am after specific moon pool bits (the room with water that your boats can be upgraded in)

So finding it hard to find them. Which is killing the enjoyment for me (made worse by now needing to replace the beached sea moth)

I've decided to play Subnautica on my PS5 instead. I'm finding my base PS4 is crashing the game. It's obviously pushing the machine to its limits with objects popping in and stuttery animations.

For those of you playing on PS5, here's a helpful tip. Press L1 & R1 & X simultaneously to open up the dev console.

All in lowercase, type in 'vsync'
Then open the dev console again, but this time enter 'targetframerate 60'
Once again open the dev console and turn vsync back on with, 'vsync'

The only downside is that this has to be done every time you run the game.

Right, now I'm off to find the moonpool pieces. I need to upgrade my seamoth!
