I'm hoping over time and with other sizes and third parties coming on board the official external storage will become more affordable before I need to worry.
So I decided to start playing Snowrunner early yesterday morning and decided to have a quick break mid-morning; only it wasn’t mid morning anymore, it was 13:30. Never played Mudrunner so this game series is new to me. It has been like having a Saturday job as a truck driver in Michigan. I have seen some negative reviews - DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. This game is really good but it is also a game that will appeal for somebody who wants a different, slower paced gameplay experience, maybe something to play while listening to music or podcasts.
My advice for anyone starting this game is to prioritise getting to the watchtowers as they reveal the map, tasks and upgrades. Grab upgrades as and when you can. Clear the roads and build bridges (yes literally, build bridges). Do smaller tasks as and when they appear nearby. Don’t do any of the big contracts until you’ve got your map revealed, your roads accessible etc.
Upgrade your vehicle with better tires - the truck you start with has tires that are poor in mud; use tires that are at least average in everything. Use a ‘Raise’ upgrade to raise the height of your vehicle because this will save you when going through water or deep mud.
You can switch between vehicles you find in the world that aren’t part of a specific recovery task and then choose ‘recover’ from the menu to transport them to your garage. Using the remover option refuels and repairs your vehicle for free. Anything you sell can be bought back for the same price you sold it for so you cannot lose money in this game.
You might also have a few vehicles out on the map. You can switch between them from the map screen instantly, no matter where they are on the map. If you are playing in single player, you can incrementally move the time of day forwards on the map screen, this can be useful sometimes.
So Snowrunner might seem daunting when you first start playing it but actually once you realise it is about prioritising what needs to be done first, what can be done first as opposed to what you would like to do first you’ll begin to make some progress. I’ve stayed on the first map for now.
It does have some quirks though. Tasks need to be accepted at the scene I’ve noticed. I Refuelled and then dragged a vehicle out of the water only to have to go back to where it originally was to activate the task so that the location of the drop off point would activate.
Is it perfect, probably not but Snowrunner offers a unique game experience that you might find very addictive once you give it a go.

I would love to see PGR4 and Blur made backwards compatible. Hell, I’d love to play The Club again. Shame it will never happen. What I don’t understand is why games like Rallisport Challenge 1 and 2 aren’t available given the series was made by Microsoft game studios.
Well, ordered a series S in the end. Decided as I'm a bit of a casual gamer, saving £200 and getting most of the performance seemed like a good compromise. Also the series S is more likely to fix under the TV
I've setup a new Xbox profile as my son is using my old one on his Xbox One. Has anyone else done the purchase xbox live from CD Keys and upgrade to ultimate for £1 trick recently?
The new Xbox app for iOS is a huge step backwards in my opinion. I used to just copy/paste codes bought online and it took about 30 seconds to redeem a code on iPad. Now I don’t even think you can make purchases let alone redeem codes.
I’m not preoccupied with achievements but I did always find the app the most convenient way to check them out. They seem to have been removed altogether.
I also used the app to manage my game clips and screenshots. I’ve always been mindful of what I upload and tend to think about what other people might find interesting before uploading. But I also strictly manage how much stuff is uploaded: always less than 20 clips in total at any one time. The app was great for viewing and removing these videos but now you can’t delete your clips and even the clip itself has the box art in the corner.
I also used to enjoy watching other peoples’ game clips through the app and now that friends activity feed appears to be gone. You can still click on individual friends and watch their video clips but it has lost the overall sense of a community / activity feed - what everyone is playing and uploading now or recently.
So for me, the things I really used the app for have been removed or ruined.
Destroy All Humans "remake" is free to play until Monday, the devs really messed up not improving the creaky 2005 gameplay. They improved the graphics but just copied the ps2 era stealth and ****** boss designs etc Its a remake not just a remaster. It gets high user scores as due to member berries from gamers from ps2 days

Started Wasteland 3, didn't enjoy 2 as the HUD is meant for PC over console but 3 is really good and you can really customise your skill to play a certain way. Also its been patched a few times to fix the bugs and crashes
fallout 4 was a joke of RPG, lets hope MS buying the publisher, they can fix fallout series (although Halo has been a mess since 343 took over)
