I just don't get the remote
Microsoft come out with this all powerful home media controller that allows you to change channel, pause playback, raise volume etc all with a flick of the wrist or a voice command and then says hey I know what let's being out a remote control. What's the point ?
I'm still old fashioned I still prefer a dedicated blu ray player to a console and I've not even contemplated putting my sky or xbmc through the one due to the 50hz thing, but even if I did I have a harmony remote which whilst 4 times the price is well worth the outlay

Don't encourage them.
I use both voice commands and the controller.
I have Harmony remote but not all the buttons work for the Xbox One. I need to update the remote as I haven't done so since the launch.

The IR receiver is built in to the kinect right? So you'd need that plugged in to use the remote?

Now, bundle it, bin the Kinect and drop the price and you might just save this generation.

Scaler was fixed with last patch apparently -

I don't see an awful lot of difference between the different version in the screenshots, but I am fairly tired so that might have something to do with it.

I upgraded my TV on friday so everything looked better, thought it was just the TV but maybe not!

It does look better. I was complaining about the text in COD the other week and that's all been fixed now. It used to look like the sharpness on the TV had been whacked up to 100.

I thought I may have noticed it a *Tiny* bit on Forza 5.
Apparently it's mostly noticeable on Dead Rising 3 and Assassins Creed 4.

Forza is 1080p though isn't it? You should only notice it in upscaled games.

Racing gameplay is in 1080p, replays and menus are not
True story!
EDIT: nope, i was thinking of the fps!

The XBox One Thread Pt3 - discuss!
Just discovered a message on my One with a code to download the Preview Registration App to allow me early access to the next update! ... Ran it & during registering it mentions that once I've got the update, I can send a link to any of my friends to get it too so we can test all the new party fixes. I'll keep you all updated....
