Yesterday, I went back to the 360 for the first time since the launch of the One.

The 360 pad feels a million times more sturdy and better made than the XB1 pad. I agree about the triggers though plus the knurling on the sticks is an improvement.

While I'm having a bitch, roll on March as the 360 OS is miles better. Only thing I missed was, "Xbox, record that".

I didn't think 'next-gen' gaming would be sub 1080p at 30fps, so yes I probably would.

I've pretty much only got the consoles for exclusives, at the moment I only own Forza 5, Zoo Tycoon and Killzone 4.

It's abundantly clear that Microsoft's hand was forced by Sony, they were nowhere near ready to release the One and it shows.
Considering they want it to be the master of everything yet it doesn't even do anything well....
hopefully they will get it up to what's expected to be release standard soon?????

I can't answer for all of us but for me its because I'm not a nerd who spends all my life playing games and comparing what they look like. I bought it because i could continue to play with the same friends.

This is the same argument I was having when I was 10 but then it was Atari vs Amega. I had an Atari and enjoyed my games as much as my friends with Amegas.

Basically it doesn't ******* matter!

Have you seen the Eurogamer thread about Thief 720p vs 1080p ? and how the PC debate again set off a war ?

The whole thing of how much it costs to build a gaming PC etc - its all mad

I still cant get comfy with PC gaming - my PC is happy in the "study" (look we live in a 3 bed 60s Semi, at least let me make it sound posh like all the fops on escape to the country by calling the smallest room a study)

I just cant get comfy with PC gaming and whilst I know I can connect it to my home cinema system and big TV, it still feels wrong.

Now when they get these poweful steam boxes out capabale of doing 8k res with Dolby Atmos with 64 channels that are smaller than the NUC I have for XBMC ill be interested

Coolest thing I have seen this week is a girl on my facebook friends who had a photo of the C64c she had set back up and was playing Dizzy !

I'm not massively fussed about all games being 1080p 60FPS. Sure, I'd prefer them to play the best they can but it doesn't stop me from playing The One if some games are playing in 720p and it's not making me go PS4. I saw the specs before and knew that the PS4 is 50% more powerful, or something. I bought the One because personally I prefer the community, controller and exclusives.

That's just my 2 cents.

I will probably get a PS4 in the future though!

Rarely mentioned but having used both consoles the game dvr feature is miles better on the one, unless i was missing something i couldn't even view my videos and pics on ps4 (just little thumbnails) where on xbox one, there's a channel dedicated to people uploading stuff, your activity feeds tell you when your friends have uploaded clips and any game you can buy has a game clips feature which gives you a great idea of what to expect

And that's not even mentioning the whole editing, combining clips, adding commentary, etc that upload studio offers

There's BF4 collectables walkthroughs, it's bloody great!

Yep, for me it was achievements and the controller. That's it. Other things may have helped sway me a bit, but they ultimately didnt matter.

Just traded in a few 360 games in exchange for Tomb Raider on One. I'm fully expecting it to look great compared to Fallout New Vegas. I'm not comparing it to a PS4, or the PC, so it really doesnt matter that it's not as good looking. If i can play it on my sofa and it looks better than last gen, I'm happy.

Have a look at both and decide if the graphic/performance differences are worth worrying about. Xbox one owners generally don't seem to mind no matter how much PS4 owners try and tell us we should be crying in the corner.

See what games are out for both, what is due out, what controller you like and what your friends have got/are getting.

Kinect really isn't that bad, it's actually quite nice to come in and say "xbox on" and then your tv, surround sound and xbox all launch and from there you can say "xbox watch tv" to stick on your cable/satellite box. It signs you in automatically too when it spots you in the room.

There isn't any PS4 exclusives that grab my attention. I enjoyed Ryse, Powerstar Golf is great fun, Forza looks and sounds fantastic and the most fun FPS looks to be Titanfall.

Which rip off head set prices? The �20 adapter?

internetuser, you have to weigh up all the points made so far. Ask yourself, is there enough MS exclusives to justify paying more money, for an inferior machine, that will always run multi-platform titles worse than it's competitor.

If exclusives don't sway you, ask yourself which system has more of your friends on. If not real friends, look at the active communities on here. Both look healthy.

It's worth considering what you get for your respective subscription too - so far PS4 owners have had 3 decent free games, via PSN+, in Resogun, Contrast and Outlast. I don't know if you get X1 games free as part of your subscription.

If I were you I'd just buy a new GFX card for your PC

Games for Gold is meant to be starting this month or next for the Xbox One I think.
