The blue is usually the away shirt, with the grey/black the third shirt.

Going backwards in time, have they lined up Holsten for the next sponsorship deal?

Probably when Hummel are the kit manufacturers!

Back to football, sounds like we have agreed a deal for two Croatian youngsters, Halilovic (who has been very highly rated for a while now despite only being 17) and Jedvaj.

So we've signed Pauline Quirke then?

Re: The Tottenham Hotspur Thread 2012/2013

Sounds like Paulinho is done which is excellent business particularly for us! I'd say if we delayed it until now then there would have been many more suitors following his impressive recent performances for Brazil.

Hopefully he is the start of a few more quality additions, the Baldini effect perhaps?

Hopefully its done but if it isnt then Im sure he has a few more offers now! Just checked and Sky have reported he has confirmed he is joining us in a press conference and wont play for them next week! Hope thats true!!

Arsenal have signed a striker Sanogo on a free who was pretty good on football manager. Hope we dont end up with Villa as he will cost the earth and turns 32 at xmas.
Surely Baldini has something up his sleeve!!!!

Would be nice to have deals done early and them bedded in for pre season training rather than chasing late bargains when the season has already started.

Re: The Tottenham Hotspur Thread 2012/2013

Guardian reporting the Paulinho deal as well so all looks pretty much confirmed, bar the 'we're delighted to announce....' message from the club itself.

Woo.

crying at his leaving conference, a good sign! Presumably because his plea last week didn't lead to a proper bid from Inter!

Seems like Levy is backing AVB to get his own players in that suit his favoured formation. Villa would be a major coup, upgrading Dempsey for a more convincing option in that role would be by next priority

I'd genuinely be ecstatic with 2 new strikers and a pacy wide player, signing Paulinho is very important - we lacked any drive from central midfield when Sandro was out and Dembele struggled with fitness.

There were rumours that Paulinho wanted assurances that Bale wouldn't be sold this transfer window else he wouldn't sign, so this may mean that you will be keeping Bale for at least one more season.

That's ridiculous though really if you think about it. They can't hold Bale hostage and force him to play for the Club just to keep Pauline happy. If he wants out then he's gone. That he might appear to be content today doesn't mean he wont be packing his bags tomorrow. Personally I think that, with his current family situation, he lacks the determination needed to move abroad just yet, but there's no way that he's been part of the Pauline contractual negotiations.

Exactly, we all know what a Levy ‘gentleman agreement’ is. Bale seems to like the manager and hopefully he gives us (at least) one more season but realistically if Madrid offered us £60m + tomorrow, everyone would be happy.

Watched the final of the confed cup and Paulinho seems a decent box to box player but he’s not the world beater some seem to think. Similar to Dembele but not exactly the bit of extra flair we generally need, more a replacement option for Parker/Hudd, both of whom don’t fit into AVB’s ideal and seem to be leaving.

Not sure about the Ade rumours, still think he can do well with a pre-season and solid run in the side but he’s our top earner and 29 now, again it would be foolish to discourage any decent offers.

Yes, you are right in that Spurs can't force Bale to stay if he want's to go. But equally Levy can give assurances that you aren't looking to sell Bale but if they do that the money will be used to bring in additional "star players" and not just line Levy's pockets.

I've never seen him as a flair player. Totally opposite. He's a solid central mid who can get stuck in as well as get into the box and bag the odd goal. We need that more than flair as I'm sure AVB realises we won't get anywhere leaking 2 goals per game. I'm overjoyed with him signing for us. I think it'll be more rotational with Sandro (if he's fit) and a much better option than the Parker or Hudd of last season as he offers a lot more going forward.

Never wanted Villa so that's good news.

The blue on that logo is horrifying

Nice shirt, not fussed on the away one.

David Villa is an odd one, by all accounts we were working hard to get him but obviously he has chosen to stay in Spain and play in the CL in this World Cup year. €5.1m in total? Can't believe that it wouldn't be matched by us - that's a snip by anyones standards.

will never know what went on behind scenes, I expect his wages are higher than we were willing to go and for an injury prone soon to be 32 year old, I'm not crying.

We'are favourites to sign Benteke, can't see us stumping the cash for that at all. More likely Levy wangles Bent back for a pittance. I joke, but wouldn't actually be a disastrous squad player option!
