Darksiders 2 (multi-format)

Can't find a thread for the second game, really liked the first game and the 2nd one is looking good from the quick look at GB with 2 of the developers. if you didn't like the first game then the 2nd is not going to change your mind but looking forward to it.

Yeah it looks good and is supposed to be a lot bigger than the first game, which was pretty big anyway.

I'll be getting it but probably once it's dropped or with the remainder of my GAME credit.

I really enjoyed the first, didn't really have an original bone in its body but that didn't put me off - Enjoy God Of War and love Zelda, it was a good mix of both. It was a decent length too, not sure I'd want it any longer.

Looking forward to the second.

Yeah, loved the first. Took me a good 25 hours to do on Apocalyptic difficulty.

Will definitely be picking this one up.

I don't see the problem with picking the best things from other games, also the story was a bit different most other games. From the video I like the fact there is loot drops in different weapons and the stats they do. The 2 game developers in the video seem like decent people

I'd say the first game was too long. A lot of it was backtracking which got tedious.

It was a good fun B game. Shameless in it's ripping off other games but entertaing none the less.

Was going to pre-order this from GAME but they couldn't seem to tell me how much it would actually cost apart from the £5 deposit!

Is this usual? Seems mental to me to preorder a game without knowing what your going to pay for it!

My brother tried to pre-order it from HMV with similar results. The sales chick couldn't find it on their system to give him a price for it, despite them having massive adverts up for it all over the place.

And to makes matters even worse it's actually listed on the GAME website at £37.99 (£44.99 for the exclusive extra content version) so how can they not commit to a price instore?

With a great business model like that it's only a matter of time before games shops are online only!

I never completed the first. It was good, but made over-long and as a result I got bored.

Will certainly try the second one though.

Sales chick?

No wonder they didn't have have the price, what with you being in 1972.

Yeah, my bad. I always forget that the birds prefer to be called skirts these days. Sorry.

Either way though, the retail fanny had no success in finding a price on this game.

Caved and preordered this from Amazon using my £18.41 gift voucher to bring it down to about £16.50.

Might use the GAME credit for TF:FoC if they can actually give me a price!

Hmmm Kotaku review basically says it's good, but riddled with bugs.

Good reviews everywhere, I'm put off by the reviews saying it can freeze a lot on the xbox. Looks great though.

Other than Darksiders 1 (which I haven't played) what would be a comparable game?
