Stu, Am I sharing a room with DY or Citysmith? or maybe it's just DY and Citysmith in the room? I don't want to be a 3rd wheel

I think it'd be me and Citysmith in a room and you watching the outcome on TV and hoping that one day you'll get to visit the room, even if just for a guided tour

Lucky i checked, wouldn't want to be in the middle of that, you must be planning to do to something very significant with Citysmith in the room for it to be worthy of being broadcast??? Imagine it would be on one of the high numbers on Sky? Let me know sure

Tell you what, have a look through my posts in the last Liverpool thread and show me where I've been "99% negative" like you said a couple of days ago.
It won't even take that long, I didn't have nearly as many posts as you fantasise about

And bad new, turns out I won't be going away this Saturday, sorry

I could only see the one previous to this one, which started on January 5th where I made 35 posts & this is now my 17th in this one
Either way, you're incredibly sensitive if you think that 99% of those posts are hyper negative "slatings".

And Carroll is a donkey

That's insulting to donkeys. Most donkeys will hit the target when they kick something.

The above and the tshirt remark on the other thread kind of made me feel bad for you. That's not really the response a good or even average joke would illicit....... thought i better flag it up

Not much media coverage, so far, of Piara Power - probably the most vocal person in the Suarez/Evra case - being a racist or of the Man U fan who has actually been found guilty of racist chanting

Why am I not surprised ?

Most vocal? Never heard of him. No Adam, the Man Utd fan certainly hasn't been mentioned in practically every newspaper in the country.

MEDIA CONSPIRACY

There's been no comment from you about the FA stripping Terry of his captaincy, despite your constant claims they would sweep it under the carpet. What's your perspective on it?

Mentioned where ? 6/7 pages in or all over the back page ? Definitely not the latter.

I'm with Capello - it should have been his decision but even then until he's found guilty they shouldn't have done anything. Then again, Chelsea should never have been allowed to put them in the position by getting the trial delayed for no good reason.

How does the FA stripping him of the captaincy mean they're not going to sweep the other penalties (ie the £40k fine and the 8 game ban) under the carpet

I thought that was the reason?

CEO wrote to court to say the players wouldn't be available to call as witnesses until after the season?

edit: from the telegraph:

That convenient solution to a deeply difficult issue has been removed after Chelsea successfully requested that the courts delay the trial until after the end of the season.

Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay wrote to District Judge Howard Riddle asking for the delay because it would be inconvenient for the club to release players from training to give evidence.

I understand that it ****** you off, but can you honestly not see that, rightly or wrongly, the Liverpool fan was bigger news than the United fan in the context of what was happening at the club that week??
If they've both done essentially the same thing they deserve the same treatment in the eyes of the law, but when has that ever stopped the media?

And I'd honestly never heard "coconut" used like that before. Yes it was a stupid thing for someone in his position to say, but seems to be more an attack on the bloke's character than "racist" per se.

Because people aren't stupid and will notice. Why in the name of all that is holy would they make such a high profile decision before he's even been tried and then expect to get away with no punishment if he is found guilty? Would you like a wager - £20 to kick racism out of football if he is found guilty and the FA don't give him at least the same punishment they gave Suarez.

To be clear, so you can't wriggle out of it:

I am offering to wager £20 to Kick racism out of football if Terry is found guilty of racism and doesn't recieve at least an 8 match ban and a £40k fine.

In scheduling the trial, Westminster Magistrates Court considered a letter from Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay in which he asked for a summer date so as to minimise disruption to the Stamford Bridge club.
Quote:
Terry’s legal team intend to call a number of Chelsea players and staff as character witnesses and Gourlay suggested the club’s crowded fixture schedule would make it difficult for them to appear unless the trial was put back until the close season.
However now he's lost the captaincy, he probably would have been better getting it over and done with.
