Rather absurd that England didn't drop Morgan or another batsman for this game though.

44-7! KP catches a swiping Rehman. Swann collects a wicket in his first over, yet again.

Dismal from Pakistan but having already won the series, I can sort of understand why. Seen England win the dead rubber game on many an occasion

I'd be perfectly happy if he went on to make a big century, but won't hold my breath! I can't help feeling if they really want to remain the number 1 side they will have to be more ruthless, it's not like Morgan is an established Test batsman or anything.
They've spent all week saying nobody is safe and then make the point that actually, yes they are! Or are they saying, "We don't think Ravi is good enough"?

The only spare batsman they have is Bopara so I would rather stick with Morgan.

Amazing morning for England with the bowlers yet again leading the way.

No point picking Bopara then for any future tests if he still couldn't get a game after these last 2 efforts.

Pakistan all out for 99 so lets see if Strauss can actually score some runs for once!

Now over to the batsman, hopefully my nagging feeling that we could struggle again will not come true.

Wouldn't it be unfair on Bopara since he'd be effectively coming in to bat rusty? (And then he has a poor innings due to that and there are calls for him to be dropped etc.)

Didn't Andy Flower say that the batsmen were playing for their places in Sri Lanka?

First one down as Cook plays a poor shot and gives a catch behind.

7-2. Trott gone. Garbage batting by both teams. Need Pietersen to come out and try and hit the ball as it's all so very negative.
