Monty staggering out with his sponsorless bat - every bowler's bunny - is always an entertaining prospect.

EDIT: fabulous six from Broad!

Broad gets to 50. Excellent from him this morning. 303-8.

Superb from him - just a top cricketer and the 2nd best all rounder in Test Cricket for me behind Mr Kallis. Daniel Vettori is close but Broad's bowling makes him a better weapon on any surface for me.

Every run is vital as I really don't fancy our chances of chasing any sort of decent total.

Jimmy A gone first over after Lunch so its Monty time!

EDIT: Gone 2nd ball

Lead of 70 - need to make inroads before Pakistan overtake that lead.

England making inroads already. 29-2 with Pakistan still 41 behind.

Misbah the real key wicket again - if he falls then Pakistan could fall in a heap. Currently 44/3 at the moment.

Great stuff from Broad this morning, to have him come in that late in the order is a big bonus for us.

Good stuff yet again from the bowlers with Monty coming to the party.

He's bowled fantastically hasn't he. Swann is definitely the number one spinner, but England have to start playing him in sub-continent tours and spin friendly pitches elsewhere. He's proven he's good enough in this test.

This is a frustrating partnership that needs to be broken sharpish as we don't want to be chasing to much.

Good work from those two - I think Pakistan need at least anther 100 runs to put us under real pressure.

Gotta love Monty's fielding!!!

EDIT: monty got his 5 wicket haul.... come on finish them off.

EDIT: Do like these cricket stories such as the one they talked about now. Running Boycott out deliberately so they could get quicker runs

Cook gone but there a lot of negativity in playing the spinners. Don't always need to go on the back foot every single ball.

Great bowling from Monty today, that was a superb return to test cricket for him and it goes to show that he should have played in the first test.

Should be a getable total this.
