The debate about DRS makes me chuckle. If these guys could cast their minds back to playing league cricket, they'd remember that if you're hit on the pads you stand a very good chance of being given out every other over. So you hit the ball. It's not exactly rocket science.

Don't fancy England having to chase 120+.

Does that sort of statement work against the oppo too?

Usually the opposite happens when john makes those sorts of comments but it hasn't happened today

They are looking very comfortable, Trott bowling now as Swann hasn't been at his best today.

Another crushing defeat looks likely here.

You guys have it wrong. John's remarkable reverse predictive powers only work against Liverpool. He is usually more accurate in cricket...

It is looking like it, as you just know we will start to loose wickets when their spinners come on to bowl.

...which in turn will mean a new record broken. No team has ever been bowled out for less than 100 in the first innings of the match and then gone on to win.

I think it is no team since England in 1907 against SA....?
Mind you spinners AND the ball should turn in the rough against the left handers plus pitch starting to break up a bit.
Will be interesting to see how it plays tomorrow

The England players are probably pre occupied by the IPL auction...

Sadly not today...

Dismal day for the lads. No chance to avoid defeat as the batsmen have totally lost confidence against spin and the DRS seems to have spooked them as well.

I don't think anyone can deny that this pair have made sure it's pretty much game over., they could lose all 8 wickets for no runs tomorrow and they'd still have enough to bowl this England side out I expect when the 4th innings starts the England batsmen will be too cautious, score slowly and invite pressure from the spinners - as they have pretty much all series.

Well batted these two. Makes you wonder what the fuss was about in the first 4 sessions.

I should have put more money on pakistan when they were 20 odd for 5

Perhaps not in a Test match, but take a look at this:

DAY 3

Broad got Younis, finally. We're at 247-3, 205 runs behind. Pakistan will pile on the runs today.

Seven wickets down now as they are starting to tumble but we are still going to need over 300 on a pitch that is starting to be helpful for the spinners.

Pakistan finally all out for 365 - only 324 needed for us to win

Panesar with 5 wickets again though!

Good stuff again for Monty, two 5 wicket hauls back to back is pretty good going. 324 to win though
