True enough but I think we need more help than that to go top four.

I think Welbeck gets muscled out a bit too easily, and still seems to have the 'Bambi on ice' look he had when he broke into the 1st team.

But he has definitely improved a great deal over the past year.

Yes, indeed.

A good result today, and a decent performance going into the toughest run of games of the season so far. If we can start to get players back, we stand a chance.

Sadly we've added to the injury list Jones (out for a few weeks says the boss), Nani, as well as Carrick who was feeling his hamstring, plus Rooney was getting battered by the end. But at least Rafael wasn't taken-off for an injury, just to keep him from being sent-off

I meant the additional minute on top of the 5. Badly worded in my excitement!

Need to keep this roll going into Anfield on Saturday. They'll be looking at our visit as a means of kick-starting their stuttering season. Given the critisism Carroll and the rest of the team have been getting, I'm a little worried about their reaction.

Linked to Nathaniel Clyne here: -

He's English and would cost next to nothing, so I can see why Fergie would be interested.

Davide Petrucci outstanding tonight for the reserves, albeit in a bit of a mismatch against Newcastle. Captained the side, got himself a couple of goals as well as assists and kept driving the team forward for more goals right till the end despite the game being long over as a contest (ended 6-0 for us).

He's missed so much time due to injuries; hopefully he continues to get a long run of games to make-up for lost time.

Not looking forward to today. With all the injuries and our terrible performances there in recent years I can't see us getting a result.

Fingers crossed the good United turn up.

Liverpool have also been pretty awful in recent months. I hate watching Utd Liverpool games.

Going to really miss Rooney and Nani - not looking forward to this match. Good to see De Gea and Rafeal playing. Giggs and Scholes in the middle is a worry!

Giggs and Scholes is a disaster waiting to happen. They could easily overrun our midfield.

Most teams can overrun our midfield! If they can stop Valencia and Welbeck then we're gonna have a problem.

Could be the making of De Gea this match!
