I was going to say that Mancini was acting like a **** again but beaten to it. Pathetic man, especially after the fuss he made with Rooney.

I didn't think City had their best game but three points went you are not at the top of your level is the sign of champions, sadly.

No different to the other managers in that respect. They might not all wave their imaginary cards, but they all have their childish side. Just look at Dalglish and Wenger constantly moaning about the refs and anything that deflects attention from their lack of quality on the field.

Did Rooney actually wave an imaginary card in the recent Derby?

Yeah, but they don't apologise for it one week and then keep acting the same way. Don't say you made a mistake (because Sky tells you too) ... then keep doing it. If you are going to be a dick, just be a dick, you'll get more respect :-)

I'm not defending him for waving an imaginary card. He's wrong to do it, I said so above.

I thought Rooney had just jumped up with his arms in the air claiming for the foul.

To be fair, Mancini is an intelligent chap, he should know better. The same can't be said about Rooney.

As d2000s put it, I think there is a difference between being a consistent idiot and making a special effort as Mancini is right now. You can't go and make a fuss like he did after the Rooney incident (who didn't wave a hard but probably asked for a red) and then act like a tosser two games in a row.

As a manager I still don't think he is anything at all special.

Not defending him wrt the imaginary card (as stated twice above). He's obviously adversely affected by the Kompany incident and he'll probably have a bee in his bonnet about it for the rest of the season. But to call him a pathetic man is a bit much in my opinion.

As for how good a manager he is; he''s definitely the best we've had since Joe Mercer, so that'll do for now. If we win the league, we can't ask for much more than that. Tactically, he's very good. He doesn't get everything right (but who does?). I know fans of other clubs will slate him, as is their right, but there aren't any managers in the Premier League that I'd swap him for.

Anyway back onto more important matters. Did everyone see Kompany sat in the stand with his missus, the man has excellent taste

You will NEVER WIN the league, you may buy it, but that is very different. Mancini is no better than Hughes.

I've watched nearly all the games under Mancini and Hughes and Hughes was not a patch on the Italian.

All teams have bought the league since the start of the Premiership. You may put forward a case for Arsenal I agree

He wasn't waving anything at anybody.

You obviously haven't even seen the actual incident you are talking about.
