Berbatov has gone missing in far too many big games, especially away from home. Not really what you want from a £30m+ striker.

Struggling to think of a stand out performance away from home in 3 years tbh.

He also slows play down and reduces the attacking threat when we counter if he receives the ball outside the box.

He is a luxury player, and not the sort to bring on if you are chasing a result, but he has such skill and a fantastic first touch. Reminds me of van Nistelrooy in the way that the team has to play to his style for things to happen. I'd rather he was at United than anywhere else, though.

Are the rumours of Demba Ba's £10m release clause correct? 22 goals in 31 prem games is pretty impressive given that he got them for West Ham and Newcastle.

I mean hell we don't even need to spend any money bringing in a creative CM now that Scholesy's back! *shakes head and sighs*

£8m for Berbasloth would be good going though, but he'll need to be replaced

Effectively swapping Berbs for Ba would be great business and would significantly cut the wage bill to allow a splurge on a Midfielder.

Ba must be on pretty large wages though, surely? West Ham are pretty dumb when it comes to wages and he was on a free when he joined Newcastle.

Unless he just got a decent wedge as a signing on fee and then wages plus the release clause of course.
