Presumably because Kenny thinks he has better right wingers than Johnson and Johnson is a better RB than Kelly.

Henderson hasn't worked, on the right, thus far although he looked decent when he came on as a sub. Kuyt does a job, but is better in his proper role IMO.

Only problem is Johnson's defending sucks and he wouldn't have got more than 5/10 if not for the goal.

I'm glad we left Carragher on the bench...

Skrtel and Agger are doing alright together.

The goals we're conceding aren't generally down to them, but usually a midfielder letting someone go, who becomes an extra man.

what do you think the line up will be on sunday?

i think we need an additional midfielder... to bolster things up and try their best do deal with silva, lucas can't do it himself and adam isn't enough support for him. to purely man-man mark him maybe spearing... or give henderson a start, if he plays in the middle. not the right.

i wouldn't mind:

pepe
GJ, agger, skrtel, jose
bellamy, henderson, lucas adam, maxi,
suarez

i think if carra is 100% he might start tho, and i think its a given kuyt will, for his work rate, which seems to trump his elephant touch, be given the nod for a start.

I think he'll stick with the same side that beat Chelsea...

They were in effect playing the same formation as City, but badly. when they changed the personnel around they were a lot better.

Our central midfield aren't the best at coming back, so I think Henderson would make sense.

I'd put Bellamy on the left though and Kuyt on the right.

Hendo and Downing in for Maxi and Bellamy - Bellers has pulled out of the squad because of the shocking news about Gary Speed

Fine with the two of them coming in, shame bellamy isn't able to play as he's been in good form.

I want to win, but it is a strange feeling playing this soul-less entity with the Man City badge.

Was Adam always such a diver?? Shameful.
Reina lucky to get away with that handball too.

What was that stadium announcement all about? Sounded like "Commence Operation Anfield Exercise" - odd time for a fire drill.

Edit: Apparently it's a drill the stewards do involving the turnstiles for an evacuation emergency.

Its a drill where the stewards practice opening the turnstiles, gates etc in the event of a ground evacuation.
