Great stuff from the boys again, losing Lucas is a big blow though.

Well pleased for bellamy and Kelly!

Indications are that Lucas may have done his ACL and likely done for the season

Absolutely savage news if it's true. Likely means Spearing/Hendo will be asked to fill in there till at least Gerrard is back. Might see us make a move in January to replace Lucas in the side.

I hate to hear about these type of injuries, hope it doesn't permanently affect his career.

There just seems to be 1 source saying that at the minute (with a few retweets).

Lucas himself tweeted, last night, that he didn't think it was that bad and Dalglish was quoted as saying the same thing.

6 months is, apparently, the "worst case scenario" not what it actually is ... and seeing as he hasn't had the scan yet who knows what the situ is.

hopefully not true but these days footballers are made of glass. It's mad to think about 18 months some people were hoping Lucas would be out injured.

I hope you're right, but the original source (djphal) is something of a Liverpool ITK (In The Know), always revealing the correct team for any game before it's officially announced.

Hoping this is one time he's wrong

It pretty serious as we have recalled Jonjo Shelvey from Blackpool.

Bugger. I imagine most neutrals would have preferred us and City apart as well. Would probably have made for a better final (assuming both has got through).

Alan McInally actually told Dwight Yorke to "watch that warm one"!

Oh, and the timing is fun too:

3rd January - Man City (away) - Premier League
10th/11th January - Man City (away) - League Cup

funny how often that seems to happen (league and cup matches with same team after one another or really close together)

As a neutral I prefer this draw. City and Liverpool playing two competitive games is more interesting. Plus I doubt Cardiff and Palace would have a chance over two legs but in a one-off final anything is possible.

Would much rather play City over 2 legs than in a one-off final.

City would beat pretty much anyone over 2 legs. Your best shot is in a one-off game.

Why is *every* cup draw rigged according to Liverpool fans?
