Am I being thick or would you put yourself at a big disadvantage by only having one instead of 3 in an Auction format? Surely if everyone else keeps 3 they will still have $200 but you'll also only have $200 but have to buy more players. Complicated this year

Thats what I was going to say. If your keeping players, then surely your budget should be reduced?

Not really, as he maybe feels there are better players available in a draft than he currently has on his team. Plus he'll have his choice of players in the draft after everyone else has spent their money filling their rosters.

Exactly - I'll be bidding against nobody in the opening rounds as I'm as assuming the auction works as the snake draft in that each keeper is a round you can't bid in as well

No, I think thats wrong. It won't be like a snake draft I don't think where those who keep less than 3 get the first pick. Players will come out and everybody will be able to bid on them as its not a continuation of a prior season its a fresh start league.

Hmm, could be right there - can't really find anything definitive on you gaining any advantage at all not using all the keepers!

I'll add Jason Witten to the keeper list and I'll take my chances with the rest

EDIT: Oh and throw in Miles Austin as well!

I'll have LeSean McCoy, Calvin Johnson and Dallas Clark from last year then, if I'm not going to gain anything by not picking 3?

And there's still a space in the Yahoo league.

As I put on the old league, I'd like to hold on to Larry Fitzgerald, Arian Foster and Hakeen Nicks.

Signed up and already have my keepers in place, roll on the draft, looking forward to a bloodbath in the opening rounds as we all scramble about for the remaining best players...

For the Keepers, now that we have the players from the last league each team now needs to actually select them as Keepers so I've done that for everyone

Further to the keeping less than 3 Keepers. It turns out you have to set values to each Keeper in order to keep them on your roster. Therefore, I reckon $20 is fair for each player leaving us with $140 to spend

If this changes your thinking John on the players apart from Rivers, let me know and I'll take them back off you

See, this is exactly what I was on about. I'm not spending $20 on Dallas Clark, throw him back into the mix.

Eeek - only 7 signups for the ESPN League. Is it worth postponing the draft till next weekend? Perhaps edit the thread title to see if anymore want to sign up?
