£5m worth of trouble.
Astounding that he's (allegedly) on £95k a week

Clearly he's not going to get anything near that here - he'd be closer to half that and he'd be a good stop gap till next summer when we can re-assess where we are.

But what's he done wrong in last few years? There are enough people still at the club from his time, I imagine if he was really a bad egg we wouldn't be going for him.
Obviously I'd prefer someone better but if he's the best we can afford then don't really mind.

In other news Aquilani is confirmed as joining AC Milan on a one year loan with an option to buy.

Quote:
Liverpool FC have reached an agreement, subject to a medical, for Alberto Aquilani to join AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the current season. The deal includes an option to make the move a permanent one.
Seems like he's been desperate to leave ever since he got here. Got to wonder why he agreed to join in the first place.

£ € $

(like the vast majority of players, not fair to single him out really)

Yeah by all accounts he's sorted himself out a bit and has said he took the man city money to pay for his charity.

Decent bench player and we havent much up front cover at the moment.

Just as long as the team don't go on a team binding golf outing he will be fine

How long is his contract with us?! If we keep loaning him out his contract will end before we can sell him!

Think they said he still has 3 years left - the reports where that this loan has a compulsory purchase option if he makes 20 appearances so less chance he's coming back again.

Although IIRC he scored a cracker of a goal afterwards.
Maybe we should keep Poulson on just to be his Golf buddy?

Doesn't make any sense based on our buying policy so far.

We've been buying younger players.

he's the exact opposite of our current policy - older and free.

I think the free bit is the reason.

Oh it would be on a free...

Well that's different. Kenny wouldn't take any messing off him.

Seems as though Bellamy has been given his free transfer so I'd expect him and Coates to be announced today or tomorrow. Coates is having his medical today by all reports.

I think I'll be spending Deadline Day just keeping my eyes glued for more exits!

Degen, Poulsen, Cole, B Jones and Wash N'Gog I think to go now.

EDIT: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...t-Anfield.html

Good interview with John Henry there.

Lineup for today

Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Downing, Kuyt, Suarez. Subs: Doni, Carroll, Spearing, Maxi, Skrtel, Robinson, Shelvey.

Here's to Suarez making it 4 in 4 !
