They are announcing their decision at 19.30 apparently so it couldn't be Arsenal or anyone playing tonight I would have thought.

Would be messed up to be honest if its anyone other than the next Turkish team in line but the match fixing could involve a few teams it seems in Turkey.

Well someone is getting in who didn't qualify - if Arsenal get in if they get knocked out then that is a farce as well.

@SamWallaceIndy: Uefa CL rules 2.10. 'A club which is not admitted to the competition is replaced by the next best-placed club ... in the same association'

Settles that I think

I take Association as Turkish League team - UEFA just relates to a group of associations so English teams are totally out of the running it seems.

Another rule going around is 'The highest ranked country by coef to have their league champions go out at QR4', which would be Copenhagen.

I'm sure UEFA will just come up with some thing out of left field when they have their press conference at 7.30.

Strong team:

Liverpool: Reina, Flanagan, Robinson, Wilson, Skrtel, Adam, Meireles, Spearing, Maxi, Henderson, Suarez. Subs: Doni, Enrique, Carroll, Kuyt, Downing, Carragher, Shelvey.

Would rather have seen a non-Shelvey youngster on the bench

Suarez is a machine, proper old school footballer who just wants to play.

Idiot Skrtle! Meant to be experienced player in defence and makes an amateur tackle like that!

That's a bit harsh. To be fair the penalty was exactly the same kind of tackle that Henderson got booked for. The ref was inconsistent there IMHO.

Man crush on Suarez is bordering on out of control - just a top, top player. The mind boggles at the link up play him and Gerrard will hopefully be involved with when the captain returns next month!

Aye.
I am guessing it was a statement of intent by Kenny to field that team - but what I was most impressed with was Suarez being up for it on a rainy night away to Exeter.
Carroll looked relieved to score - nice strike!
I would be happy to know what our back-up striking options are like....

As said above I thought the Skrtel incident looked similar to Hendo's (perhaps one move of the leg more) so was a little harsh in that regard.

Roll on Bolton - for more than 1 reason

Bellamy or Ngog? I'd take Bellamy. He's good backup anyway.
