my biggest concern atm is that we turn into a one man team again with that man now Suarez. granted so many are new but tactics without him seem to be: high ball for Carroll...

The Man City game at Anfield is still the template for us - we blended the power of Carroll and the genius of Suarez perfectly. Passing and movement plus we could stick balls in the box for him to attack.

I think you'll see more from Carroll against lower quality and less aggressive defenders. In the first two games he's been up against Brown and Vermaelen who are both excellent defenders, strong in the air and very confrontational. It's quite easy for Carroll to get bogged down in a fight against those type of players so you're going to need Suarez or someone else to provide the spark. Other teams will have far greater problems dealing with Carroll.

Kyriagkos linked with Wolfsburg, Cole linked again with QPR and Aquilani close to joining Milan - unwanted squad players slowly inching to the exits. Comolli must be working the phones like a mad man at the moment

EDIT: Ooops, seems Konchesky not winning over the Leicester City fans with his performances thus far:

Are you still looking for another striker?
Two reports from Setanta this morning (no idea where they're getting their info from) linking you with a £10m bid for Kevin Doyle, and a swap with Chelsea involving Meireles and Sturridge. That swap would be a great deal for Liverpool, but can't see it happening in a million years.

Eurosport saying Inter Milan have submitted an offer for Dirk Kuyt and his agent says he's considering it currently!

Much as I like Kuyt for the hard work he does I would not be averse to him going as long as we get another striker in. He is probably bored playing as a RW for us.

Depends what the offer is, but cant let him go unless we have a replacement in line.

Boys I have decided driving is not worth the hassle and will get the train this saturday.
5.30 kick-off and train into Lime St:
-What time should I look to get into Lime St? (4.30 okay?)
-Taxi from station?
-What time should I consider getting train back (earliest)?

Cheers

Re: the Kuyt to Inter stuff.

Suggestions on twitter that the agent quotes are verbatim from last summer, and that someone has rehashed an old story

Ben Smith from the Times has also rubbished the story

Quote:
I can confirm the Dirk Kuyt to Inter Milan rumour is total rubbish.

Excellent news!

Kyriagkos trained with Wolfsburg today so looks like he's a goner for sure.

Lime Street isn't too far from the ground,a taxi will cost around £7-£8 ,bear in mind the roads leading to the ground will be busy so leave yourself plenty of time. Train back well the match will finish around 7:25-7:30 but as the ground empties out you won't get a cab quickly i'd personally walk back to lime street (about half an hour) and go for an 8:30-8:45 train back

thanks mate. what time do you reckon i should aim to get to Lime St for (on way in)?
re walking back - problem is my 6yr old won't be up for that sadly.

Coates would be awesome. i would rather have Sturridge to Bellamy back - although he should be cheap?

you won't get a cab outside the ground when you leave, the traffic's blocked off.best bet will be to walk to scotty road (10 minutes) and try to hail one from there.good luck

The Meireles for Sturridge stuff must now be dead now that Chelsea have bought Mata.
