The first, maybe his right foot was offside so technically he was offside, but it was so tight and hard for Arsenal to complain about the calamatous defending!

Nowt wrong with the second. Suarez was just in an offside position when the ball was played to Mereless but not active, and onside when the ball played across.

Great result, would have taken a draw beforehand, so very happy. Enrique and Downing both played well again today. Exeter, Bolton, Stoke next would be nice to get 3 wins and get a bit of momentum going.

That's what I mean though, he just seemed slow getting on the end of a lot of balls that would've probably been decisive if Suarez or Downing had been on the end of them. One in particular, when Adam played what seemed a slide rule pass into the inside right channel but he had to chase it and cross rather than control it and shoot!

I don't even bother with Wenger interviews any more, you know exactly what he'll say anyway and he's just a bit too cringeworthy. I don't know what the opinion of most gooners is, I only know a few but they find it a bit embarrassing now.
No doubt he didn't comment on the red card because he didn't see it, just a shame he also can't see that he needs to sign some solid, experienced players for his defence and midfield

Against the weakest Arsenal team in memory and after the millions you've spent this year? Seriously?

Wenger only see's what he wants too see, rather then that he has **** in he's eye

Fully agreed, Suarez only active in the second phase of play so goal was good. BTW, genuine Q - I only really concentrated on Walcott's play alone, but was it a case of him being really rubbish or was Enrique half good today?

Just wanted to add...I never really understand what people expect Wenger to say - especially when he's admitted that he blatantly lies to the press to protect his players. The only interviews worth watching are the ones he does for French television where he gives some proper insight (e.g. his comments about Barton last week were very different to what he told British press).

Edit: He also said he agreed with red card for Frimpong (as do I!).

Wenger actually said the first goal was offside (which it was). Then the interviewer said the second goal may have been off side to which he then responded both goals were offside then.
The media are making it look worse. He of course doesn't help matters though.

Which of those two facts do you need explaining son?

Stay in school

You've rebuilt, Arsenal are (according to even their own fans) weaker than they have been in at least a decade and yet you'd have been happy with a draw after dropping relatively easy points last week? I think you're on your own there. Hopefully Dalglish shares your lack of ambition

lol I just remember when I came onto your dull thread last, you were more interested in slagging off Liverpool than having any sort of sensible discussion. Now you crawl on here again expecting me to actually seriously discuss Liverpool with you........again, laugh at you

Now I feel sad.

So were are agreed, your 'settle for a draw' comment was ridiculous, even by your usual standards.

With Arsenal's current problems i'd have been hugely disappointed to come away with anything less than a win, especially after chucking away 2 points last saturday.

Good result today.

We have a lot of games in London this season, if we do as well in the rest it could be a good season

I'd have been happy with a point before hand. We're basically a new team at the moment and it'll take a while for them to knit together.

Most of the team weren't here last year.

Although with their injuries and suspensions and wenger's daft refusal to buy, as it went on and we were dominating possession with Suarez to come, a win was expected.

Yeah, pretty much the same as my thinking. Also bearing in mind our terrible record there.

They were just discussing it on a Five Live news program. Seems to be gaining a lot of momentum.
