watching F1 at Silverstone - best seats / place

What's considered the best viewing place at Silverstone for the F1? Out on the course some where or in the Grandstand

Cheers

I prefer general admin and tend to sit at Vale, like have to be there very early though!

Never sat in any of the stands though, too expensive, and restrictive, re drinking and smoking etc.

Luffield is very good, you get to see the cars for a long time through that section. Think it's also the most expensive

I watched the Le Man Series and British Superbikes from Village. Great little set of corners

Formula 1 cars look awesome through Copse, but no passing and you don't see them for long. It's been 14 years since I last went, but going now I would choose vale/club or luffield/woodcote. I haven't been since the redesign (obviously) but the new arena section would probably provide decent viewing as well.

I've not been to F1 at Silverstone but have been at Spa - main thing I recommend (no idea how many screens they have) is to get a spot where there's a big screen.

Sounds blindingly obvious but it makes your spot a little less of an issue so long as you can see the rest of the action. Doesn't matter how awesome a corner view you get if you don't know what's going on!
