You’re but 2 years younger than me. So that would still put you in the DOLBY baby boom era of listeners if you do in fact listen!

Changes are its with digital hard drive on pro-tools today. I’d say there would be slim chance of this showing up in cinemas in DOLBY SR-D.

I don't like the BD banner and 18 stamp in UK edition. US looks simpler and cooler :D

Sounds like you’re just as paranoid as me. I find the last post strange as it looks like a young kiddie, who wasn’t even around when Alien was showcasing in DOLBY, and someone just taking the Mickey.

I mean the avatar looks EMO like and EMO wasn’t even around 30 years ago.

In space only EMO can hear you slicing your wrists! Hey just having a little fun.

It will be DTS-HD MA. The US release is already confirmed as such. The only Dolby mixes (on the US release, unconfirmed for UK) are on Alien and Aliens, where you get Dolby Digital 4.0 and Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround. The Spanish and Portuguese langauge tracks are also Dolby Digital 5.1.

The primary 5.1 mixes on all 4 films are DTS-HD MA.

Well that has saved me the hassle of buying after all! I have no doubt the region 1 DVD will be released with some of these included extras. I wish I wasn’t so religious about listening and in DOLBY I mean I was brought up on healthy weekly diet of DOLBY analogue that tweaked my hearing.

Then again I could just pretend that dtsHDMA is DOLBY TRUE-HD

Cheers for the information, its what its all about the information.

Once the next alien movie prequel directed by Ridley Scott comes out, I can bet 1000 pounds they'll be releasing the super-ultimate-uber-duper version!
I'm so tired of giving these greedy producers my money! I've got so many versions of these films by now!

Standard Edition

I've just gone for the Special Edition.

My wife is going to love that on the mantlepiece.

I stand corrected, much more reasonable pricing - still not getting the egg though

Not bad. I'll be waiting at least six months though for the inevitable price drop(s).

I naturally have a multitude of DOLBY reservations, but apart from that I can't wait to watch these in Blu. Will make a weekend of it.

I share his concerns. Everyone knows you don't do sci-fi in Dobly.

I'm quite glad that I think the egg statue looks a bit tacky, it'll save me a fair chunk of cash.

WTF? Are people really paying £35 extra for a dodgy plastic egg?
