Got the DVD and saw the film last night, without any prior knowledge of the mythological Sysiphus/Tatarus connotations. As a standalone film I thought it was good, but obviously there is a deeper meaning to the intertwining sequence of events. I'll read about the background and watch it more leisurely.

Some guy has posted a very detailed but well spoilered analysis on IMDB. There is one thing that I find it hard to agree with and I wonder what the others feel.

That's a really good explanation, Raigmore. The film makes more sense by that reckoning.

BTW, thanks Alan.

That is not my explanation of course but of that guy at IMDB. It is rather detailed and interesting but one or two deductions might be questionable. Worth a perusal.

No worries from me - it was a / instead of a \ (or the other way around, can't remember)

I also like the explanation given.

Bluray transfer is TOP NOTCH!!!

I loves this film... definitely getting the greek mythology stuff now.

Anyone found the easter egg on the bluray? A Deleted Scene. if you go to set up and press up a dash of blood appears.

Can ANYONE confirm if the UK Blu-Ray edition of TRIANGLE will play on U.S. machines?

I believe its Region B locked as I read that over in another US forum.

After the film I said to my brother (who I watched it with), I dunno all very weird. However, he said come on "it was enjoyable though". Looking back, I think its a very enjoyable and clever film.

Me and the other half watched this and thought it was a load of toss. If you like Home & Away crossed with Titanic then it may be your bag, but we weren't feeling it at all.

Great analogy! Although I don't like Titanic and hate Home & Away, yet liked this

It had an australian and a ship in it, but thats as far as it goes. Worst. Analogy. Ever.

It wasn't supposed to be an analogy.

My comment was that it had Angel and a ship in it.

You are entitled to our opinion Splobber and without the mythological connotations it would be less interesting but not "a load of toss". It does give food for thought and is a well made off-beat film.

I watched this a couple of nights back via lovefilm rental and I thought it was clever enough to be engrossing, but it's very easy to figure out what's going on a few minutes before each major reveal, and you soon realise there's not going to be any character resolution/"happy ending" but rather an intellectual point, so I never really allowed myself to get that emotionally involved in the narrative/characters and rather found myself distantly analysing it instead. It's a shame that the supporting characters are so vapid and in the case of the redhead and her husband: annoying, as with more varied and substantial characterisation it could have been something really special.
