Audacity Vista & Laptop

I have tried to get Audacity to record streaming audio on my Dell 1520 but the only input I can select is microphone ?
The soundcard is a Sigmatel is this hardware or a Vista short coming ?

I have only used Audacity before with XP on my (broken) desk top with no problems any one know the answer cheers.
