I still think he does some good work in the build up but his finishing (which I know is his main job) is poor at the moment. The same of course could be said about RvP & Ade before his injury. ALL strikers go through phases like this, even the very best, so I'd like to see him given more time - maybe not as a starter though!

I've never been a massive Bendtner fan but watching the game at the Emirates today and he put in a massive work-rate throughout the time he was on the pitch. He showed great vision on several occasions with his passing and had some lovely deft touches.

The one thing that went wrong for him today was obviously his finishing, but I don't think it helped that all the chances came in the space of 15 mins at the start of the second half when we were rampant. If those chances were spaced out over the 90 mins, he wouldn't have come in for anywhere near as much stick in my opinion.

But tbh, it's hardly like any of our current strikers can be called prolific is it? I'm happier to see Bendtner get into a goal-scoring position as regularly as he does, as at least it gives us a chance. Even if it might be one goal in every five attempts!

Diouf and bendtner both played up to their pantomime villain roles

Bendtner did actually play pretty well, until he go into the box. He's no fox. Just seen Motd which made him look beyond hopeless

Just rewatched the game on Football first...we looked really good. No wobbles as such at the back (lack of Gallas?) and a lovely free-flowing attacking football (Blackburn were rubbish?)...

Bendtner really was made to look like a gibbon...as was pointed out, those chances across 90 minutes, you could be unlucky. Those chances in a 15 minutes window you could still be construed as unlucky but it amplifies how bad some of the misses really were.

What a difference a few games make, Eboue possibly asked to be subbed and now he is taking pens!

No point in hoping the Spuds are going to do us a favour...they are rubbish!

Well, I can feel all superior in the knowledge that I didn't cheer them on, whilst at the same time being rather pleased that we're still in 4th place!
Good news about Rosicky, but rather than playing reserve games until the end of April, I wouldn't be surprised if he only plays one or two & is then put on the bench for the first team (all going well).

He seemed pretty determined. Would have been annoyed if Arshavin had of scored the first goal, but even he seemed pretty clear that his shot was going nowhere near the goal! I think Eboue is just keen to get into the fans' good books again

I wonder if Eboue would have taken it if Arshavin got credited for the 3rd?

Hey Pete, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Obviously you would have picked up the atmosphere a lot better actually being there, but I've seen the full 90mins on TV now & I didn't think your support was shameful Yes, there was some obvious frustration coming from the crowd, but there was also a few choruses of "Super Nic" trying to lift Bendtner & he got a decent ovation when he came off, so it wasn't ALL bad.
IF he can find his scoring boots, he'll score an absolute hatful in this team.
