Note to writers - big emotional farewell scenes are pretty much completely undercut when you keep bringing the character back again and again and again.

Sounds like Smith is struggling a bit:
"Whenever he wasn't filming he always had a script under his arm and he was looking through it constantly. He really seemed to be having trouble remembering his lines — he got quite agitated at times."

struggling my arse. He is filming solidly with 12 x 45 minute scripts to learn, of *course* he has a script under his arm.

I was really hoping for a clean break from the Davies era. I suppose we have to "trust in Moff" that it's going to turn out OK.
Let's hope that Piper can deliver her lines this time without sounding as though she's got a mouthful of golf balls.

that's clutching at straws. There's absolutely no evidence in any way, shape or form that they have any concerns whatsoever.
you might as just as well say that they must have concerns about the price of petrol to be bringing her back

it's amusing (and sad) how *desperate* some people are for Smith to fail in the role, and for the new series to be awful. The Doctor Who forum is full of people bringing up the most random things that "prove" it's all falling to pieces and they are all stark staring mentalists,

Who said they wanted him to fail in the role?

Clearly i wasn't talking about anyone here, oh no. i did the say the Doctor Who forum was full of them.
You bringing up two totally random bits of information that mean *absolutely nothing* and then in your head turning it around to mean that Smith can't hack it and the BBC are worried about the show had absolutely no link to my statement.

Lets turn it around shall we ?
http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/so...l/article.html
Sounds like Smith is passionate about getting it right:
"Whenever he wasn't filming he always had a script under his arm and he was looking through it constantly. He really seemed to be having trouble remembering his lines — he got quite agitated at times."
or we could say :
Sounds like Smith is suffering from the flu
or
Sounds like Smith is dyslexic:
or
Sounds like Smith is having to cope with last minute rewrites:
All just as likely as your supposition.

Going back to Billie being spotted on set, reading this I cant imagine her being the Rose we know:
Quote:
Billie was spotted in a floral dress during the morning session between 8am and noon, but did not return later in the day.
|
Apart from the period Dickins episode I dont think we have ever seen her in a dress, let alone a floral one.
Think this could mean one or two things.
1. If she is in Series 5(1) then the way she is dressed she is going to be a different Rose.
2. Billie has been a friend of Matt Smith's for years (and most of the crew of Doctor Who for that matter), and although the reports says she was "spotted", it does not say spotted actually filming. It could just be she popped in on set to say hello. Just like sometimes some of the past Doctors have been "spotted" having a set visit.
At this stage I would guess the and one is more likely.
With regards to being worried, as as it makes me sound, I was very worried when T, Baker took over from Pertwee, Davison took over from Baker, C. Baker took over from Davison (may be I was right on tha one?), concerned that it was going to turn into a comedy show with McCoy, worried that it would never come back again, concerned that McGann would be crap, worried when RTD first brought it back, I was very concerned when Eccleston left, I was apprehensive when Tennant took over, and feel pretty much the same now.
Its all part and parcel of being a Who fan

The story says

BILLIE Piper was back on the Doctor Who set yesterday, filming scenes for the new series.

May be the story I read was different as the one I read quotes:
Quote:
Billie was spotted in a floral dress during the morning session between 8am and noon, but did not return later in the day.
|
No mention of anyone actually seeing/spotting her being filmed, or in fact of seeing anything filmed at all, just actors/people spotted learning lines, signing autographs, and some not being fully in costume, so who knows?
Still as I said if she was filming by the way she was dressed I very much doubt it will be the Rose we know.

If it was a casual visit she wouldn't be there at 8am.

Having read around a bit there is no actual evidence that she was there at all - none of the set location spies have positively identified her, so the one and only identification comes from a report in a local newspaper.
Now call me cynical but local newspapers are not what they used to be and it's highly (highly) likely that the article was written by someone who wasn't there and is entirely based on getting a story together to fill a few column inches.
There's a production assistant who looks like Billie who has been mistaken for her dozens of times in previous spy reports, my money would be on it being her.

Yes your right as always as actors never get up and go anywhere at 8am if they are not filming.

Forgot about her; I would say this is properly the most likely of the lot.
