Chris Whitley: RIP

I've just found out that Chris Whitley has died.

RIP Chris - I, for one, think this is a great loss to music.

Must have missed this on the forums when it ws originally posted - just found out yesterday on an internet trawl.

I never got around to buying his other albums, but his 1991 debut "Living With The Law" was a great blues/Americana/dust bowl epic that I still play regularly.

RIP.

Don't know whether anybody on here is still a fan of Chris, but like many others, I've spent years waiting for the "Dust Radio" film. Having seen a cut of the film recently, I was really moved and inspired to write a piece about it.

For the reasons I explain in my article, I am not providing a link to it, but you can find it without too much effort and I think it's a fitting tribute.
