Champions League Final Tickets - How, where and when?

So we've got a few teams left in the Champions League this year, and I'd fancy that at least one of them is going to end up in the final. So I'm making my preparations for a trip to Athens on May 23rd to see the match. Even if there are no British teams in the final, it'll still be a bit of a day out!

However, I haven;t got the first idea how to secure tickets for the final, especially as there is no way of knowing who's going to be in it. Without having to resort to the online resellers (cheapest price per ticket so far £520!) is there a way to get tickets reserved, and does anyone know what the face value, and actual value of a ticket would be for the final?

Any Liverpool fans who secured their tickets early last time around?

Not sure if this was for in here or suppliers, but fancied a better response in here.

Need to apply through Uefa.com, usually application is available after the qf stage. I managed to get tickets for the Glasgow 2002 final this way, pot luck though as it is a ballot

I paid £27 in 1999, cant believe how much they have gone up. FA cup Final tickets may break a ton this year.

Brilliant. Thanks everyone. Was thinking of putting both me and the missus name in the ballot, to double our chances. I take it these things are easy to shift if I end up with 4 tickets?

If an English team gets to the final they'll be like rocking horse poo...

I've applied for two. It'll end in one of 3 scenario's.

1. Hopefully my team makes it, and I'll be there with a mate.
2. Another English team makes it and I can sell my tickets to a supporter.
3. No English teams make it, and I can suddenly go on on a romantic mid-week break with the missus to Greece.

Have they not cracked down on selling (touting?) tickets? Don't they have you name on them now? Or was that just a World Cup thing?

Probably cracked down...

But, I'd prefer to use them myself to be honest.

If people are desperate to buy them it'll be buyer beware. But we won't know until they release more details.

When I applied for the world cup tickets, they wanted names and passport numbers when you applied. So seems a lot less strict.

I had tickets for Istanbul but passed them onto another forum LFC supporter - the tickets had my name on them and came with a warning that tickets would be checked at the stadium and proof of identity required. None of these checks actually happened AFAIK. There were far more LFC supporters in the ground than Milan / neutral that night..

I got tickets via the UEFA ballot for the 2001 final in Milan. Amazing experience it was going all the way to penalties even though the game itself wasn't that great.

There were 100's of touts selling tickets at that match so I hope that UEFA have cracked down on things.

Personally I don't fancy going to Athens.

Unsuccessful as well. If I were to want to try and get tickets now, even at higher prices - where would I look? Any reputable places?
