Okay, just another word on the sending off. The reaction of the Spurs players to the incident was slightly delayed, and well above what would be expected for the pushing over.

The villain of the piece went off when carded without even raising an eyebrow in surprise at his dismissal.

I dont know if this makes the allegations true, but it is good circumstantial evidence.

With all the talk of it, I would have thought there would have been some denials of the rumours, unless there is a cover up, and they are hoping it wont blow up further.

Not really, I've started several IIRC. I've been dying for us to reach a second one though

It's amazing how many players get injuries when pointless friendlies come around. I can't say I blame them either.
I think Lennon, King and Jenas all have genuine injuries. JJ is out for two weeks, Lennon would surely would have wanted to make the right wing his own and King seems to have problems playing midweek

and circumstantial is all it is, i'm concerned that people are just jumping on this because of the team/player involved. Surely someone in the game would have said SOMETHING by now, if what was said is true surely they couldnt have silenced everyone? The rumours are disgusting if true, but thats the thing we dont know if they are or not, and to be judging someone (imo) based mainly on the team they play for and the fact that he just walked off without arguing is a bit flimsy. Maybe he just realised the mood the ref was on that day arguing would just have led to a follow up in the report and a further ban??

If what was said is true, then there is no way i'm defending it, just think its a bit odd that nothing has been said but one report by the voice, being picked up by other papers.

I said to my mate at the time I thought it must be something racist as there was definitely a marked reaction by two of our players one being our captain and the other an ex wigan player. But you would expect the authorities to have stamped all over it if it was true and there should have been a complaint by the club.

Makes you think doesn't it, Sol Campbell got off light!

Anyway, back to business, Keano got his first hatrick for Ireland last night as Ireland beat San Marino 5-0 in the final game at Lansdown Rd

A question for you regular away travellers out there.

My 9 year old has never seen Spurs play in the flesh and he is probably big enough now to enjoy it properly.

Whenever I travel back down to London (from York) all our time is spent visiting family which is groovy as I don't get to see them as much as we ought.

I was wondering about taking him to an away game Oop North which would be closer to home and easier to get to in a day.

Newcastle on 23rd Dec would be great but I don't know how to go about getting tickets (and I doubt I would get them for this game anyway).

Could anyone enlighten me as to how I would get tickets and which games would be good for his first experience of Premiership foot at first hand.

TIA

You might be better off waiting for an away cup game where there's less demand.

For away games you have to send in an application, although I think they're for ST or members only. Otherwise you have to hope for a game to go on general sale, usually for an unfashionable team up north (think Wigan).

For Newcastle I think you'll have to wait for the first weekend in Dec to see if there are any left over. However last time they only sold them to people who went to the ticket office! That might have been due to the time constraints.

Surely it'd be easier to get to london than newcastle? At least you could stay with family if needed

You confuse me with your post sometimes.Have you ever been away with Spurs in any cup?

Think your find we took 4500 to Wigan last season.
Won't mention the gooners taking 600 for a cup semi to Wigan.

Trying to get a ticket for spurs away is like getting PeterUK to admit Spurs are North Londons top team.

There was nearly 10000 applications for germany tickets next week.

Won't even mention the 600 the gooners took to Hamburg.

Hunts seems like you pay attention to us more than your own team

And top North London club - please my dead dog talks more sense.

You have the Peace cup on your honors list Enough said.

Oh and i would go to every game if i could afford it, get the time off work and have enough away credits to go but i cant.
