1st Round Cup results;

a couple a big away wins in the 1st round, 1st leg should pretty much seal progression to the next round for those teams but 3 matches are still in the balance....

Not a good start for Istanbul05 in the league ... despite dominating possession in both matches 0pts from 6 says it all

I'm glad we managed to come away with two away goals, but I can't believe the ref disallowed our third and I've now got two players with yellow cards.

Does anyone know if the yellow cards are seperate for league/cup matches?

They all count as long as they are in competitive matches. Here's the relevent rules;

Quote:
Suspensions
Players can also be unavailable for play because of suspension. If a player recieves a red card during a competitive match he/she will generally be suspended for one match. If the incident is more serious it can lead to a suspension of up to 5 competitive matches. A player is also suspended if he/she recieves three yellow cards during a season. A suspension due to yellow cards always results in a one match suspension. A suspension applies only to competitive matches, that is league and cup matches. A suspension in the league means that a player will miss the next competitive match even if it is a cup match. A player can also be made unavailable beacuse of other reasons than injury and suspension. Unexpected events can occur that make a player miss one or a couple of matches.
All of the rules can be found on the website under the 'rules' option in the left hand menu....

Guys, am thinking about getting some sort of wee web site together for the League, maybe just something basic on my webspace... a page for each division and a front end...

Any thoughts on this... ?

Would probably need a few folk to help with the admin and stuff.

Cheers.

There is a forum at both (a) the global Xpert XI level and (b) at the DVDF league level unless I was dreaming when I looked last night ??

What would we have on there that we don't have on the main site or here?
Seems like work for no reason to me, unless it would be replacing this thread maybe

I would imagine that the mods would appreciate a "restricted appeal" (so to speak) thread such as this was taken off the forums but I don't know.

I have often thought that this thread is somewhat meaningless if all the DVDF League managers usethe Xpert XI site properly/fully.

Yep - I think so

It would probably be a good idea to encourage the use of that one rather than this.

I certainly agree with Wooglie in that there is nothing in the 1st post of this thread that can't be found easily on the Expert XI site - so why reproduce it here ?

What do others think ??
