I know! Madness

A jet, a new house, more money!

9 million? That's a million more than Wenger spends on players NET a year, so yeah, it would be lovely for us thanks

Reckon they'll meet in the middle if that story's correct....

Or 16 + Gallas

Or maybe not: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2...340183,00.html

Activity started publicly - Cole gone on Weds? By the end of the week?

Sad innit.

Ashley Cole, one of 'us'. A Gooner. Someone who'd probably be sitting beside me if he wasn't playing.

W'happened?

Now he'll probably go on to become THE most hated ex-Gooner ever....

In a Sol Spud stylee.

Fascinating to see the recent-ish English players attitude to the club when contrasted with the overseas players. Sidwell aside.

So; second of the pre-season friendlies tonight. Wonder if Rosicky or Walcott are gonna have a showing?

Bendtner's been refused to go out on loan to Rangers. Good stuff, he's a good little, well big, player though not that you'd know it from the Barnet friendly

First match of the pre-season tour played against SV Mattersburg today,

Alialidere and Hoyte scoring in a 2-1 win,

Tarore at left back is suppose to have had a good game as well as Song

Song was excellent in the first half.

Good in the second, a great game from him; he's a top drawer prospect and I just cannot understand why so many Gooners are down on him.

I mean I'm sure I heard him get booed on his first touch on Saturday.

Traore continues to impress.

Good to see Rosicky in an Arsenal shirt too

We're getting ready:

Cole, Cole wherever you may be,
You married that slag Cheryl Tweedy,
We dont give a toss that you now play for Chelsea,
Cos we've got Gael and Flamini,

Cole Cole wherever you may be,
You married that slag Tweedy,
Let's hope you rot at the scum Chelsea,
Wishing you were playing with Thierry Henry.

Latest Gossip:

Wenger cannot guarentee Ashley will be with us next season, Chelski hoping to get him on the cheap at £10m seeing as he wants to go, but will probably go for the £16m originally stated.

Were gonna use upto £10m of the laundered russian money to make a bid for West Ham's Benayoun, one question though. Why? We already have Rosicky who is almost a carbon copy of the player.

Wenger says he wants to make one defensive purchase, with two from the back already gone or going he must be planning to use the kids alot more again this season, Hoyte & Traore as cover with Clichy being first choice Left Back?

On a more positve news Liverpools £6.2m bid for Pennant will mean a few quid coming our way as we have a 25% sell on clause with Birmingham.

I really do not understand the Benayoun story!

As Alan Brazil would say...."Why?"

Looks like Muamba and Larsson are off to Birmingham on loan:

http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/...name_page.html

Along with Smith (though it looks like he could be injured) they were the two conspicous with their absence when the Austria squad was named.

Could this be a sign of some dealing with Marseille over Ribery?

Some interesting Opta stats:
Quote:
Arsenal have surpassed both Manchester United and Chelsea for being the best passers in the league, with the highest pass completion rate for last season.

Arsenal made 14551 successful passes, whilst United and Chelsea made 13252 and 13653 respectively.

Liverpool made 11621 and Arsenal's London rivals ********* made 10955, a figure not even remotely close to Arsenal's.

Arsenal also have the highest shot accuracy in the league, with 49% of their shots (444) are on target (216).

Gilberto, so often villified by Arsenal fans as a sub-standard player, has a higher pass completion rate than teenage sensation Francesc Fabregas.

Gilberto is also the most accurate passer in the league stats-wise, with an 84% accuracy. Fabregas has 83%.

Thierry Henry is the top scorer in the league with 27 goals, converting 26% of his shots into goals, the second highest in the league after Robbie ***** [*********] (27%), who only scored 16 goals.
Gilberto!! That stat's going to surprise a lot of people!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!

I'll admit he's a very good player but we don't need him, we need decent defenders and the CL Qualifiers are fast apporaching!

Exactly, I'm sure we'll get 6million for Ljungberg.

I've heard from somewhere we're chasing Toulouse's Lucien Aubey... left/centre-back.

Don't be silly - all his passes are backwards and sideways, though still not a bad statistic i suppose. Cesc's stats are far more impressive becasue he completes far more difficult passes.
