Just got back, was a great day, fantastic stadium, comfy seats, excellent view and WOAH the noise! The seats had free T-shirts in different colours to give the effect of white, red and orange seating. The north end was meant to say "Iceman" and the south end was meant to spell DB10 in the orange shirts.

So, apart from a boring 1st half where Ajax dominated (a bad omen that Wenger missed shooting the ball into the net in the pre-game presentation methinks!), I'd say it was fantastic to see the legends in action. So happy that Cruyff played (was thinking he needed a zimmer frame though) and the Van Bastin bit of skill was great. Edgar Davids was getting booed off the pitch and that must have made him go in for a blatent DIVE. The penalty miss must've been on purpose not to spoil the day after the play acting (another person near me thought so).

Seaman, Viera and Wright and Petit got HUGE cheers. For the life of me i can't understand what Grimandi and Helder were doing there, would have loved to have seen Merson or Adams, but you can't have everything. I was also chuffed that we got to see Henry. I thought he'd be off on holliday or sometihng, but it was truely fitting he was the first ever Arsenal player to score at Ashburton.

But the biggest cheer was for the man we all really came to see and bid farewell to. It's sad to see Dennis go, but i'm very happy that the fans and the club could have this occassion together, and that i was there.

Now i'm off to watch my Ch5 video!

i imagine it was bergkamp's choice who to have there - helder must be a close friend of his (he was as bad today as he was back in the day!) and grimandi still works for arsenal so i'd imagine they're in touch. i personally couldn't understand luzhny was there but the crowd's reaction to him was quite funny. it was a shame that most of the 6,000 empty seats were where the DB10 was meant to be spelled out - would have looked better if there weren't gaps

Helder was a nightmare, talk about running blindly into a defence that did not really want to tackle him...even with the half hearted attitude they had, they still managed to take the ball off of him EVERY TIME!

Surprised that Adams & Merson were not there...shame really...dawning of a new era, it would of been nice to see all the old boys there!

GRIMSTER!!!!

Couldn't have a Spud scoring today; specially that one after the role he played in that goal last season

Bergkamp aloft Paddy and Thierry's shoulders

What.

A.

Footballer.

Oh and how good did that Traore look?! Never managed to catch him in a reserve game but for a 16/ 17 year old kid he looks very handy! Supposedly only a shade slower than Henry over 40 yards too! What is it with LB's being Chav's? There's-the-one-whose-name-I'll-never-utter-again, Clichy who always strikes me as being a right lad and now Traore who, going by his blog, is a wannabe gangster

Nah it took 10 seconds to change it from the previous 'as good as Thierry Henry' to the man-of-the-moment

Oh I see, the edit was for the Gangsta as I forgot to put in how impressive I thought he was.

Toure gets lost. Then again.

I've seen a few Gooners also took snapshots of him outside the stadium looking thoroughly lost

either Kolo really got lost, or he's trying to become a fan favourite on purpose!

What a day out.

I was lucky enough to be in one of the corporate boxes for the game (pics to come) but it was breathtaking.

Brilliant applause to Vieira, Cryuff and Van Basten. Wrighty was brilliant as usual.

Great way to send the great man off, how we are going to replace him i dont know.

The guy is a LEGEND

We love Dennis Bergkamp

Are we resigned to losing Ashley now?

We really need to get our fingers out and start signing some defenders.

What's the story with none of the players going to his wedding?

Even if he is leaving, surely he's still "mates" with his teamates?

I always remember that game against Leicester away, I think he scored a hat-trick. His third was similar to the goal vs Argentina in 1998 (and the last minute as well) but better IMO. Its about 4 mins into the video above.

Bergkamp wants Vieira return

What do you all think about that? Would you like to see him along side Cesc?

Well at a guess I'd say his teammates almost dislike him as much as most of the fans

It appears Pires doesn't have that same problem with his new teammates.

Oh and I thought our marketing dept sucked but what were Spurs' one thinking?! A brown chocolate colour kit. After that last EPL match....

Ha ha! Tbh, I didn't even think about that!

As I'm sure you'll all know , the colour has historic references - going back to the late 19th century.

Tis quite nice, but I think I'll wait for the home/away kits before purchasing.
