Yeah, don't remember seeing (m)any Gooners in the Ronaldo bashing thread.

But that clip is funny.

Pires is no longer an Arsenal player so all his minor indiscretions are now not counted against us

I agree the ronaldo clip actually is funny

unlike 99% of the anti ronaldo crap dragged up by the enger-land baying mob looking for a scapegoat.

there wasn't just Pires remember though, the highbury sniper was often in evidence during those rare occasions Jeffers got into the opposition box

still I would think Ronaldo, Jeffers, Pires all have to acknowledge Robben as the true greg louganis of the football pitch.

Are you guys worried that at first playing at this new ground might actually work against you rather similar to what happened when you played your Champions League games at Wembley a few years ago. After all your record at Highbury was pretty impressive and it might not feel like a home game for a while ?

Yes thats my biggest fear for next season and perhaps the season after, if i can recall there hasnt been one team who has taken to a new season without a couple of seasons for them to get used to it etc? And with Champions League gootball vital for us, i hope we adapt very quickly cause like you said Alan, Highbury was a fortress.

See my pics on the previous page

Overall a fantastic stadium it really looks impressive, although it wasnt fully open so ill have to wait when i go on Saturday (im in a corporate box as well ) My only flaw or pet hate so to speak is the lack of white seats in the stadium, where is the Nike "Tick" or ARSENAL FC spelled out in the seats?

Important notice for all Arsenal Members (who use Oyster Cards!)

Kerrea Gilbert on loan to Cardiff.

There's a nice 'Highbury highlights' (all recent though) video on Google Video here.

Edit - added 'Kerrea' to prevent confusion!

Good move for the kid, he was impressive in his short first team spell but Lauren, Eboue and Hoyte are ahead of him in the queue. The only position we're not short in at the moment in defence is RB.

I'm a little concerned with the new stadium and the team settling in, though I'm sure 55 odd thousand Gooners'll help them

Talking of Lauren - how come's he wasn't training on Members Day. I did hear a rumour that his knee is completely ******, hope it is just a rumour

It would be a shame about Lauren (if true)...i too heard those rumours. Saying that though, I personally prefer Eboue in that position!

Had to borrow my mums camera yesterday as mine has gone tits up!! I've just managed to transfer them from her machine to mine, so here's the stadium from an alternative viewpoint:

Can't wait to get back up there for the match tomorrow

The only thing I can complain about, although it's not a big thing, is that the roof cuts the top quarter of the big screens off when you look at the one directly in front of you (see the 4th and bottom pictures to see what I mean from different searing positions)
