And Clichy.

Hopefully that 3 months is from Saturday and not from the start of the season.

Is Djourou still injured from that WC game? They never did say what was wrong with his stomach, the commentators suggested he got nerves and bricked it. Surely the wrong team

Buffon will go to Milan.

It looks as though all we'll be signing now is a centre half if one is available at a decent price.

This summer reminds me of last year when it was thought that a few big names would arrive and we signed Hleb early on (much like Rosicky this year) then Wenger started to say that he probably wouldn't sign anyone and he didn't and Vieira left (Cole this year).

If iit wasn't for the injuries I'm sure that our summer spending would be over.

It's quite furustrating when you see the names being linked with Spurs, Utd and Liverpool....

I still think we'll sign one more "big name", I'm sure Henry would've been given such assurances before he agreed to stay.

Is it a case of Arsenal playing it quiet...as soon as they are rumoured to be after someone, either the prices go up or Chelsea and the like go in and up the bid!

I would certainly expect a Keeper and a CB to arrive!

Whats the fitting like on the shirt.....I remember last season that the mediums were pretty baggy.

I think we should forget about Curtis Davis and go for Micah Richards who has tonnes of potential, strength and running power and can play anywhere along the back four. Sounds like City would be willing to sell seeing that he has handed in a transfer request after not signing a contract that has been on the table for the past few months.

It's the opening of the new Arsenal shop at Emirates today. Hleb and Flamini will be appearing at 3pm for half hour. Aparently there's a free beach towl.

Anyone know wether Red member tickets will go on sale to the first league game against Aston Villa? I know tomorrow the official site advertises Silver Member tickets.. but what about red?

Not convinced we need someone like Davies (just HOW much do they want for him?! Madness) or Richards. There's three hugely promising young CB's already on the books - Senderos, Djourou & Connolly.

I think we'll see either an older player on a short contract like Thuram or someone who'll do for cover like the one-that-got-away Salcido, especially as Wenger wants someone who can play at LB as well. Or should that be a LB who can also play at CB?

Got a few hours off today so might go down and pick up a new shirt and see if the Hleb-ster can sign it (at 3) :

His Agent is quoted as saying that Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea have all inquired about him.

I should point out (after re-reading my notification e-mail) that the free beach towel thing is only free when a new shirt is bought today (subject to stock). I don't want to disappoint anyone rushing along to the shop, braving the heat of the tube trains, expecting a freebie without purchase of an item.

New squad numbers out lads...

Headlines are Cesc popping up to number 4 and Senderos and Toure taking up 5 and 6. Think that cements who will be first-choice this season! Also Rosicky picks up 7 from Bob. No sign of Lupoli or Bendtner though?

1. Jens Lehmann
2. Abou Diaby
3. Ashley Cole
4. Francesc Fabregas
5. Kolo Toure
6. Philippe Senderos
7. Tomas Rosicky
8. Fredrik Ljungberg
9. Jose Antonio Reyes
11. Robin Van Persie
12. Lauren
13. Alexander Hleb
14. Thierry Henry
16. Mathieu Flamini
17. Alexandre Song
18. Pascal Cygan
19. Gilberto
20. Johan Djourou
21. Mart Poom
22. Gael Clichy
24. Manuel Almunia
25. Emmanuel Adebayor
27. Emmanuel Eboue
29. Sebastian Larsson
30. Jeremie Aliadiere
31. Justin Hoyte
32. Theo Walcott

As for signings, certainly a CB is being considered? Although Djourou, Hoyte and Cygan have 1st team experience in that position (Djourou looks superb) it would be nice to see a bit more experience/proven quality.
