Mutu = Talent beyond belief, just needs a loving club who have faith in him, with history and pride to get it out. i.e. not Chelsea.
Kenny Miller = Played as a LONE striker and absolutely ripped the Italian defence apart for 90 minutes as if he was ******* Romario!!! Scored 5 in 6 Scottish Internationals. Celtic thought, hang on a minute here, this kid might actually be amazing, lets buy him. Everyone else thinks, he plays for Wolves which means he can't be good.
Bellamy = crud, second rate premiership scumbag.

And yet, Rafa who undoubtedly has more knowledge/scouting skill in left little toe nail than anyone on here, only wants one of those three
Let's just wait and see if Bellamy can improve on what he did on the pitch with Blackburn (which shouldn't be a problem since he is now surrounded by better players) rather than harp on about what he may have done off the pitch at least 1 year ago and not done since ....

I've given up deciding whether your unrivalled love for Miller is because you are related to him or whether its an out of control drug habit

Mate if I was manager of LFC strikers I would go for are...
Probably Unrealistic but would try...
----------------------------------
Eto
Toni
Torres*
Pauleta*
Klose
Trezquet*
Van Persie
Tevez*
Fit Owen*
Possible depending on dollar
---------------------------
Villa*
Kuyt*
Bargain basement
-----------------
Camara (Wigan)*
maybe Bent
Would have Baros back tomorrow.*
Dean Ashton, Andy Johnson are out of the picture really.
Ones with * would suit the club IMO.

He was arrested in March this year for allegedly hitting a woman, court case pending I think.
Anywho, I still don't know if this is a good signing or not. I hope he does well, scores loads of goals and keeps out of trouble.

Seriously dude you are one odd adult. I have no doubt your list of strikers would suit the club but half of them would demand over Ł20m an two of whom are close to 30 and still would demand Ł20m on name alone.
So I am glad you are not manager. For Ł6m Liverpool have signed a proven premiership striker whereas 9 on your list have never played in the premier league. Let’s not forget we signed one of the most gifted European strikers yet in the premiership he couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.
You need to grow up a little and realise that yes Bellamy may not be the nicest person in the world but on paper he is a proven striker, he is pacey and he is not Kenny ******* miller.

He also wanted Josemi so nobody's perfect.

I am confused about this Ł10M fee for Alves. A couple of weeks back we were very close, having bid Ł7M apprantly but Ł8M was the magic figure; now another Ł2M has been slapped on

If we're talking strikers Bellamy wouldn't have been my choice but 6 mill is cheap and in Rafa we trust.
Now, if I were buying, and had to look in the premiership[ I would only consider (obviously ignoring any no goes like henry):
Yakubu
Ashton
Bent
In that order.
Outside of the premiership I would look at:
Eto'o - best striker bar none in the world.
Tevez (sooooooo strong - would easily perform in the prem)
Villa
I won't go on as none of them are ever gonna arrive at Liverpool anyway

I think that we will definitely buy another striker. Kuyt is probably still up there. He hasn't exactly set the world alight in Germany so at least his price won't have shot up!

Paul tomkins, as usual on the official site gives a very excellent analysis of why bellamy will do well. read it if you haevn't- it always provides very persuasive arguments.

He is a top 10 player - not the best though
Shevchenko, Henry, Adriano and a fit Ronaldo rank ahead of him for me.

Shevchenko - past it.
Henry - never been a striker.
Adriano - top notch but not the best.
Eto - BEST BY FAR.

Eto'o is better than Adriano for me and it would seem that saying a fit Ronaldo is about as realistic as talking about a young Pele now.
