thought that was for the ground costs and not players?
I expect to see Cannavaro at Chelsea after the photos of him on Abrahamovich's yacht yesterday, regardless of Real Madrid previously being in pole position.
I don't think he would do that well in the premier league though... still think he is awful short for a centre half, especially PremLeague.
hasn't played Crouch for a start
never been that impressed by Camoranesi.. not thought of him as a proper right winger either - would much prefer Pennant for £3m-ish, although I think funds are tight.
not sure about Trezeguet. he is obviously available, a striker and cheap in the sense that we can probably get him on loan for a year.
but surely he is the same type of striker as Bellamy/ Cisse and we now have that slot filled?
and I don't think Benitez's relationship/ treatment of Cisse will help any transfer for DT with them being France team-mates.

Not a lot I can say to that, if thats your opinion, but I wouldn't be surprised if both hit 30 goals each in all competitions, none of ours could do that which is what we need.

Noone else worried that Cisse managed to push Trezeguet out of the starting XI for France despite the way he was playing for us at the time?

Are there any other clubs interested in getting Trez on loan? Arsenal maybe? I'd have thought we'd be the last club on Juve's list to loan to, so as not to annoy their fans even more.

Would Duff not be ideal for us? He can play on the right wing and is a known performer in our league, this Alves saga continues to drag on when maybe we should have put our efforts into getting Duff.

Square peg in a round hole - Duff and Liverpool was finished soon as we decided to go for Diouf ahead of Duff in 2002.

Yes, lets get Duff. Its not like we have lots of left midfielders is it (such as Gonzales, Zenden, Kewell and Riise)

Its not like Duff can play on either wing??? He is better on the right if you ask me - for £11m I cant believe we are not in for him, although there may be an issue with Chelsea regarding him signing for us.

er... I presume you mean left...
He's no world beater on the right. Come to think of it, he hasn't been much cop since he left Leeds...
(available-ish) Right wingers we could do with...
Pennant - should be cheap and would love to get back to prem.
Wright-Phillips - would be a guaranteed starter on our right and could get back into England setup...maybe on loan.
Malbranque - eye for goal, and good crosser, should be cheap.
Guily - frozen out of French squad and has already made noises at Nou camp. World class as shown consistently last season - under pressure from Messi.
Giuly would be my number one choice...but the most probable of that list is Pennant or Malbranque.

No, I meant right, he is very good there - when did he play for Leeds?
Wright-Phillips is so over-rated - he has hardly any end product, his crossing is poor, definately not worth the money. Giuly just signed an extension at Barca so no chance him moving.
Would take either Malbranque or Pennant, but Duff is much better imo.

But if he is considered a £12m player and you buy him for £4m, you've just saved your first to years salery in transfer fees.
