So let me get this straight: you as a so called Liverpool "fan" would like to see the club out £6m just so a player you don't like doesn't play.
Will wind your neck in and grow up.

Let's not all start kicking out at balstino just because he vehemently dislikes Bellamy. It's obvious he doesn't want the club to waste £6m, he just wishes we'd never signed him....
I thought we should have had a rush of bosman announcements this week?!? I'm starting to get twitchy that this transfer window is in danger of becoming a repeat of the last 2....

I never said that!
EDIT - once you've attributed the quote to the correct person I still don't think it evidences that he wants Liverpool to lose out on £6m, it just shows that he thinks our decision to gamble £6m on a player with a bad reputation outside of football may have backfired on us if he ends up with a custodial sentance.....

But Anelka did well at Anfield and showed none of the problems he usually has. He made it clear he wanted to stay at Anfield so I can't see why anyone would object to him because of his reputation.

He was goodie two shoes at Liverpool and actually seemed to be able to play upfront with Owen which is a feat in itself.

Could you also tell me if you are keen for Liverpool to sign Pennant ??

I'd sign Pennant on the cheap, he's quite good and plays on the right I think.
People have a certain respect for our history when they play for us, bar Diouf who really only kicked off with others not the team, we haven't had too many problems with so called Bad Boys.

So you'd sign a player on the basis that he seemed to be able to play with someone who no longer plays at the club. I can see the scene at Bramall Lane at 11:00 now ....
Rafa: So Nic, I want you to play up front with Mikey
Stevie G: Er.... gaffer ??
Rafa: Not now, Stevie, I am trying to tell Nic how our new strikeforce is going to work.
Stevie G: Er ....

So you'd sign Pennant who has been a very bad boy outside of football (he wears a tag FFS) and is quite good but hate the club for signing Bellamy who is a better footballer and less of a bad boy

You are coming off like a child so I will talk to you like a child.
You say you we have never had any problem with so called bad boys. Yet you are not willing to give a self confessed Liverpool fan a chance and he has not even played a game. How are you to know what he will be like while playing at Liverpool? He could turn out to be a goody two shoes.
You have no problem with the club signing a convicted criminal or a nut job? Granted both Anelka and Pennant would probably be good additions to our squad at the right price but both have baggage but that's ok with you?
Also so will celebrate if Bellamy is convicted? The club will be down £6m and have no money to buy another striker. That what you want for "your" club?
Bellamy scored what? 17 goals in the premiership last season that's more than any of our strikers. If he scores that many this season he will have been cheap at £6m. If he stays out of trouble he could be a great signing, if he continues to get himself in trouble then he will have to face the consequences and so be it. As a Liverpool fan I want him to do well and score lots of goals (and stay out of trouble) but you seem to want to opposite.
But the venom you spout out towards him in this thread is making what is usually a decent place for a Liverpool supporter to discuss his team not a very nice place to be. I don't frequent the main Liverpool sites as the are full of children and pillocks spouting absolute ******** and this thread is heading the same way.

Alan B - If I have to keep quiet then his post above certainly isn't keeping quiet. It's well out of order. In fact it's straight after you've told us to pack it in. What do I have to do, sit here and listen to someone who is probably younger than me calling me a child???

I gave him the benefit of the doubt as it probably took him a while to type all that but if you both continue with it then don't come complaing to us when we take action against you as you have both been warned without us taking further action.

Alan b - I agree with trying to put an end to the personal insults and 'threats'.
However, all stu_69 and myself (to a certain extent) are trying to find out is why balstino is advocating signing a convicted criminal but didn't want the club to sign someone who isn't a criminal claiming they would bad for the team/club due to their reputation ??

I love the way we argue about all of these signings when we have no input into what the club will do.
All we can do is offer opinions. If somebody's opinion differs to yours, why get wound up about it?
His opinion doesn't have to appear logical or even agree with yours. Arguing with each other about them won't change them.

Bellamy - don't like him; don't rate him much but his scoring record is good
Anelka - not got a problemn with him but I don't rate him at all
Pennant - would be a truly fabulous buy.

Rafa sent out a mesage of support regarding the Valencia train crash and in it said all his ex valencia coleagues, which listed Aurelio, were saddened. So looks like he is nailed on cert.
RIP those who passed.

Due to the FIFA suspension on Greek clubs (Olympiacos in this casE), it looks like we could bypass Champions League qualification
