Aldi remote control [was: 8 in 1 remote control with Learning Function for £5]

Anyone's remote packed in?

Mine's been slowly playing up and now it's completely useless. No learning, lights staying on etc.

Absolutely killer as this is the best remote I've owned.

I've got one, yes it's great. mine did that a few weeks ago but I put good batteries in and it's fine since. Are you still using the green ones that came with it?

If this is anything like the lidl one (which by looking at the buttons it probably is a re-branded version!) then yes - batteries, if they start running low, the remote starts to stick, and lights stay on and it won't do anything. Taking them out and placing them back in will fix it temporarily but it will only happen again. Replace with fresh batteries.

And yes, my lidl one is excellent also!

Yeah, tried changing the batteries but no luck. The batteries shouldn't have anything to do with it losing codes.

I took it back to Aldi (without my receipt) and got a refund no problem and the manager dumped it in the bin!
