E R season 11 , E23 [big spoilers!]

just watched the last episode of ER

so Carter leaves

is it just me or does anyone else thing that there is no other strong enough character left in the cast to carry on the show...

i think , for me personally, it's time to say goodbye to a long time favourite tv show ...

might tune in next couple of seasons since Noah Wyle is going to guest star in 4 episodes in each of the next two seasons.... (i guess this is the only way they expect viewers to stick)

Brilliant episode. The party collapse was Was not expecting that. Thought Morris was going to die of alcohol poisoning. Well i was hoping he would. I was sad to see Carter go as well. Always one of my favourites. When he had his incident in S6 with the schizophrenic patient my head was wrecked.

I know what you mean. Luka & Abbie are alright but nothing special. Ray & Morris are annoying. Neela is but boring. I miss the days of Mark Greene and Benton. Bring on the boxsets.

I don't really think Carter has been very good for the last couple of seasons anyway (probably since he broke up with Abby).

I think Pratt is probably the strongest character left although hasn't really had any good story lines this season. I haven't really enjoyed this season very much at all - the Kovac and Sam storyline has got very boring and I'm not keen on Morris or Ray.

Come on people, Ray

I think that for the next season to be successsful they've really got to give Pratt & Luka some strong storylines and judging by the ending of this season that's exactly the way it's heading.

Can't believe they ended it with

I had a lump in my throat when he left and also when they were showing old slides with Doug and Mark in it

Sam is annoying and Luka should get rid of her and come and see me! It's not as good as it used to be, but I'll still watch as I've never ever missed an episode

Luka should totally leave Sam for Abby again, he always seemed better off with her.

Carter leaving is a shame, but Carter wasn't Carter without Greene, imo. Or Benton for that matter.

Morris actually has potential, despite kicking off badly (he was excellent in Band of Brothers.) Ray also has quite a good thing going.

So long as Pratt remains his edgy self, he's good.

Didn't see that party thing coming at all. Typical ER goodness that was.

I miss Romano... I guess we'll always have Robocop.

I always felt ER would end with Carter leaving, as it started with his first day. It'll be interesting to see how the series fairs next season. As long as Abby stays I'll be happy.

I was expecting it as it was shown in the "next week on ER" after the previous week's ep!

Shame to see another season end. Will keep watching it, I think there are still some good characters (Pratt & Ray notably).

Was concerned to see Darlene from Roseanne re-enter in the last ep. Hoped we'd seen the last of her

Its good that we get to see it on network tv in the UK so soon after the US.

i hope they don't set up Morris as the next Carter , the guy is way too annoying ... however, it did seem that way when Carter exited the hospital and said something to Morris (can't quite remember) that Greene/Benton had said to him....

He said "Set the tone" to him which was the same thing that Mark said to Carter when he left as he knew he was dying but it was completely lost on Morris who in my eyes is a complete prat!

I still personally think the show is excellent at the moment, even if it's not quite as good as it once was. Losing Carter is a real shame, but he's been pretty depressing to watch for the last couple of seasons. The other characters still hold my interest and let's face it, the writers on this show really know how to write when they need to so I'm looking forward to more, and very much enjoying watching the early series on DVD at the moment.

I think that is probably the best ER ever. Close to it anyway...

I've watched every episode but I feel it's been treading water for the past few seasons.

Compare any episode of this season with the Carter gets stabbed/addicted to drugs storyline and it looks poor.

The first six seasons were amazing, then it went ok for a couple of years, but now it just has the odd good episode with the majority being mediocre.

I agree it is sad to see Carter leave and it is a long way of now from the heady days of the early seasons with all the heavy hitters like Benton, Greene etc.

But I still think it is way above anything we can produce over here (Doctor Who being the exception) and is still quality drama, just not as good as it used to be.

Why do TV companies insisting on putting these bits in trailers. It's not as if they are going to pick up extra viewers by showing it

Fortunately I switched off before the previous week so missed the collapse and it came as a real shock.

S6. The lad who stabs him is Goldstein in Harold & Kumar Get The Munchies.
