Just a week since the last GP, but after this, a four week break...

Rain predicted at some point, but might just affect Friday practice, looking as if it may be sunny for qualifying and the race.

Practice 1: Fri 09:00-10:30
Practice 2: Fri 13:00-14:30
Practice 3: Sat 10:00-11:00

Qualifying: Sat 13:00-14:00
Race: Sun 13:00-15:00

After being ordered to give up a win on the anniversary of his accident last week, Massa now returns to where it happened - the skid marks are still there!

Though a few years ago it produced the race of the season when it rained. Button won, IIRC.

Of course, this was the venue where Damon Hill almost won in the Arrows back in 1997. So it does hatch the odd surprise.

Red Bull dominate. Boring race I expect tomorrow though. Well done to Petrov - and hope Kobayashi can make some moves, might be demoted to the back of the field.

I can't blame Martin Whitmarsh for complaining about the flexi-wing, despite EJ's moaning, because they need to put pressure on the FIA to clarify the issue. It would suck for McLaren if they were to put time into developing it, and then the FIA change the flexing test before they get the benefit of it.

It's different from the F-Duct, in that the F-Duct is allowed because of a loophole in the regulations. The flexi-wing is only allowed because the current FIA flexing test isn't sufficient enough to flex the wing (but the FIA can change the test when they like).

I loved the slow-mo of the wobbly, jelly-like front wing of the Red Bull flapping in the wind shown during the Horner interview - stating that it passed the scrutineer's test! What's the test? Measure the road to wing depth with a ruler while the car is stationary?

Still, if that gives them 1 sec, McLaren have another 0.7 to find. Hopefully the race pace will be more equal.

Well they have been faster each race in qualifying. Anyway it seems a bit wrong for it to flex that much under speed and give them an edge - everything flexs but I dont think they should flex that much.

I dont know what it is about red bull - I used to really like them and their fun attitude, the way they are a private team and uk based. But theres something about the way they have acted this season and horners attitude which has really irritated me.

Always the dullest of the season unless it rains. Sadly we only get that lucky 1 year in 10 or so

Make yourselves comfortable for a nice little nap this afternoon, unlikely to be much reason to stay awake.

Only interest is likely to be how Red Bull will throw it all away this weekend. If they stick to their idiotic overly aggressive starts then the chances are Alonso can win this - sadly. Its probably about time they had a mechanical problem or 3 too, Renault engine has been bordering on reliable recently which cant last much longer

It's normally dull here but let's hope... the Hill race was great, but this is a reminder of how things can be - 3rd Piquet pass in this clip is probably still the best of all time IMHO... opposite-lock round the outside of Senna!
