As the brother of a City fan and life-long friends of several others who aren't happy with this deal can anyone see a Leeds type situation arising where Sven fails after 6-12 months like many City managers before him (but with a 3 year huge deal) or the Shinawatra thing going tits up? It's risky and a potential make or break season for City I think.

Quote from Sven...

"As for Michael Owen - he's available? I didn't know that. Michael Owen will always score goals for you...but I don't want to read that I'm interested in signing him either."

Um Sven, pretty much the entire world and their dog knows Owen goes for either £9m or £12m. Newcastle accepting a bid doesn't even come into the equation because of the clause.

Gotta love crazy Sven

You can get odds of 8-1 that Sven won't be in charge of City by Christmas.

That's gotta be worth a flutter.

Well put your money where your mouth is

City have signed up one of the academy:-

SKY Sports

We have been linked with loads of players, but with 4 weeks to go, we will hopefully start signing soon

Looks like the first 'Real' signing in Svens revolution, Rolando Bianchi:-

Offical Site

He's a young lad who got 18 goals in Seria A last year in a poor team. Don't know much about him, if I'm honest. Any Italian footy fans maybe able to shed some light.

We are also sniffing around Christian Wilhelmsson. Don't know much about him either, only time will, there's a lot of rubbish being talked in the papers.

Is that the same Wilhelmsson that had a cracking mullet/rat's tail combo in the last world cup?

Sven is going about his business in a quiet and professional manner. He's signed 2 more players this week, 1 for a small fee and one on a free.

Manchester City have signed Brazilian midfielder Geovanni on a free transfer.

Seems to have been on trial at Pompey, then all of a sudden signed for us. Don't know much about him, anyone got any info, anybody seen him play?

Also we have signed the Swiss u21 captain, Sven seems to rate him.

Man City seal Fernandes transfer Anyone know much about this chap?

Not heard anything along them lines. He would score a hat-full of goals in the Championship. His nerve went at City (unless he was playing Villa), he needed 4 or 5 chances to put the ball in the back of the net.

If he goes to you lot, I hope he does well. He has always given 100%, but he won't cut it with us. We need more forwards before we let him go. But no one saying that he's going to SW on any Manchester City forums.

I'll believe it when I see it but according to some press reports City are after Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Sven is in some press reports been handed £200 million to turn Manchester City around

On a different note the pre-season is going well:

÷rgryte 1-4 City

Things are starting to come together at Manchester City. We have just signed Petrov from under the noses of Spurs:

Offical SiteHe's had some good reviews, and for £4.7 million

The Revolution is taking place, get in Sven

He scored against United in the CL for Benfica a couple of years ago.

Should make him an instant hit with City fans.

Never a bad thing

There are rumours that Manuel Fernandes (Who was on loan at Everton last season)is going to be next.

Sven has done the business since coming to us. He looks like a class act

City closing in on Juventus' Italy Under-21 captain Georgio Chiellini. Sven ain't messing about! If he gets Chiellini, plus another 2 or 3 signings of similar quality, and City should be challenging for Europe next season

Sven is fast becoming a hero...

Apparently after Chiellini he's turning his sights to Nery Castillo, at which point my erection will prevent me from using my laptop

Things are looking up in the Sven Revolution, I for one look around at who other clubs are buying and think that Sven is doing superb.

Petrov for 4.7 mil or K Richardson for 5.5 mil (You make your own mind up ). There was a rumour on the Manchester City boards yesterday that Chiellini was being shown around the ground yesterday (How true, God knows). But Sven certainly has the pulling power

Manchester City target Nery Castillo claims Olympiakos are prepared to sell him.
