Ebay, by far the best place to find some bargain golf clubs. Have a look at www.golfrewind.com where you can find some info on clubs that might be suitable

if you have a local "Sports Soccer" store, then try them, they always have reasonably/cheap golf clubs in stock

I am serious, look at your local car boot sale, you can really pick up some bargains at them.

There is a howson set in argos which has a full set of clubs (3-SW) and some metal woods. Has a bag and an umbrella, I think it also has a trolley!

Give them a look.

Yep, they sell Donnay ones, that are cheap. Probably not the best in the world, but good enough for odd few games a year. They also sell the clubs individually at around £6, so any damaged clubs can be easily replaced. Could even make up a half set from the individual clubs.

how old is he? if you are looking at a junior set there is a nice hippo set on online golf for £70 (http://www.onlinegolf.co.uk/528-10435) otherwise look at these 2, both are very good.
